Garlic lime chicken - I like to make this with chunks of chicken then add it to pasta with some yoghurt/ creme fraiche. The ingredient list looks long but it's all herbs and spices, and I don't usually add all of them.
That sounds good, but I don't go in for dried herbs, always have fresh ones on hand. I don't have garlic powder or onion powder either - have bought both in the past, but found I don't use them and they turn into a solid lump in the jar.

As stated earlier I haven't had pasta for ages......but I've put it on my shopping list for tomorrow along with tins of tomatoes

I've got garlic in.........and some Milano Salami

I think I'll buy an onion and a savoy cabbage.............fry up half the onion and some garlic in olive oil, add some ripped up salami, add a couple of shredded cabbage leaves and half the tinned tomato and stir in the cooked pasta

I'll have the other 'halves' on Tuesday !

well, that's the plan !.......


oh........I've got dried basil and dried oregano in as well.........I think the oregano could be good but what I'll do is put in in the pan with the olive oil first thing so it has all day to infuse

I've found exactly the same with garlic and onion powder - that's why I don't usually add them!

It would probably be even nicer with fresh herbs

What even is passata? What is the difference between that and a tin of tomatoes?

Very little difference. Passata is sieved tomatoes, so it contains no bits of skin, seeds or stalky bits.

Jars or cartons of passata tend to be much higher in salt from what I've seen. I have found you can hand squish a tin of whole plum tomatoes down to pretty much a similar texture.

Anyway, I love pasta. Some of my favourites.

with salmon, cream and chives
