They usually bring in a 'rentapro' to dance with the celeb, like Brendan did for Artem and Robin in series 9 and Ian did with Michelle Williams one week in series 8. If Brendan couldn't dance, I guess Gorka would dance with Anastacia for one week.

Wasn't there a report from the backstage mole that on the night of the now infamous DO debacle Brendan was so mad that no one could approach him for ages until Anton talked him down? At the time no one knew why he flew off the handle, but a lot of people guessed at him not be happy with Anastacia. If that is the case I wonder if its been rolling on behind the scenes since that night. Anastacia doesn't strike me as the forgiving type, and we know Brendan holds his own and doesn't back down from anyone so I might be a case of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object and thats whats causing friction between them.

If he has come down with this infection and can't breath I just hope he recovers soon and it will cast doubts on tonights performance, but we have had pro's step in to replace a dance pro when they fall sick or injured, maybe that will happen.

I see, in that case, cue perhaps Neil....however I would very much doubt that Brendan will cry off sick.

If she is sticking up for herself and not taking any crap from the original, why is that dubbed as fighting.

It's simply not being a walk over.

I'd she's not taking sh#t from him then good on her.😀😀😀

I don't understand why Brendan would be giving her any grief? He is trying to teach her to dance, to be the best that she can be. She should be respectful and listen to an expert who is trying to help her. If she thinks she knows better, she will not improve and not last long in the show. Maybe she didn't realise how hard she would have to work and how tough it actually is, Brendan being competitive will push her hard.

It'll be no problem "bringing on a sub" for Brendan if he's too ill this week. The dances he's choreographed for her won't be that complicated, so the show will progress smoothly.

Anastasia's not having much luck, is she? I hope he recovers in time for next week if she's still in. But he might not feel ready enough to get back into the routine on Monday.

As should he.

I know Brendan can be difficult if all is not going his way, good luck to Anastasia if she won't stand his nonsense.

Alex Jones went right up in my estimation because she would give James Jordan as good as she got.

So is it Anastasia who is back for the 'knives out' treatment this week, or Brendon, or both?

Probably as true as Will and Karen not getting along.

As, like you, a dancer, I do agree with you wholeheartedly. But I feel the whole show is produced by non dancers for non dancers and us dancers have to take what little from it we can. We are, regrettably, the minority.

However - and I'm going to play devil's advocate here - if the show was virtually all about "real" dance, with only dancers on the Friday panel, etc., etc., all going on and on only about real technique, etc., how long before the average viewer would begin to get bored and switch off?

Also, again as a dancer, while enjoying the occasional "proper" dance, I have to admit some of the most ludicrous are also enjoyable Ed Balls last week - a samba that most certainly wasn't, but did I find it entertaining? Absolutely!!!!

So Brendan and Anastacia are fighting? Good grief, does no one realise that spending so many hours practising, is pretty exhausting, and when people are tired they can get snappy. Find me any dance couple (pro or amateur) who can say they have never argued - "fought" - with their partner, and I will tell you they either have no passion for what they are doing, or they are simply telling fibs! Like most other reports like this that get blown out of all proportion, probably just "A Storm in a B****y Tea-Cup".

Even without any 'report' in the Sun I would bet good money they fight like cat and dog . Brendan can be abrasive and modom is a diva who won't like being ordered around and expects her general superstar wonderfullness to be her ticket to the final . It's stood her in good stead so far , with producers bending and twisting rules to pacify her and keep her in .
I hope Brendan is OK . Anyway if another pro needs to step in it won't be a problem since no doubt the routine has been stripped down to something wishy washy that any pro can master in 20 mins .

One has to look at the body language if it is so, these things come through. But if Brendan is ill with lung infection he probably won't be there. I would not mind if Gorka took over

Won't it more likely be Neil as he is the literal stand by - he hasn't had the opportunity to dance with a celebrity partner as of yet?

I wouldn't mind Neil either. I think this happened already that another dancer stepped in, wasn't it even Brendan? I don't remember anymore

I know of no couple that have never had a row or disagreement over their dancing, in practice ( or even at comps). Its par for the course as a dancer.

That would be good. Not meaning anything unkind to Brendan, who I like, but if he is not 100%, then he would be better to have the evening off and let someone else stand in for him.

As has been said, it will no doubt be a very simple routine, which another male Pro could pick up in a very short time.

I would really like to see Neil dancing with a Pro and it would also be interesting to see how Anastacia performs with someone else.

If Brendan doesn't dance, Anastasia will get the soft treatment from the judges again.they can't mark her properly without her regular partner. What a lucky lady she is.Begore we know Blackpool will be upon us. Will she make her way there without too much effort? ( now I am going to hide under the stairs)

It didn't stop Anita Dobson being eliminated the week she had to dance with Brendan because Robin was injured.

I do believe the public kept her in last week.... But let's not let facts get in the way of a good, slightly hysterical, diatribe hey!

He dances with his wife Katya in the pro dances and hopefully they will be featured dancers on a result show soon.

I'm sure Brendan will manage to turn up tonight, and as he is dancing a rumba with Anastacia it's not as if he will have a lot to do!! Poor Brendan - rumba is definitely "his" dance, but not with Anastacia

Aaahhh, sorry, typed too fast. I meant I would like to see him dance with a Celeb. I enjoy watching him with Katya in the group dances and yes, would love to see them being the featured dancers on the results show.
