Yup, I'll second that. A really good week for Wardrobe

Oti's dress was absolutely stunning. I also really liked Laura's. Louise, Claudia and Lesley looked great too. The 60s look was fab for Joanne as well.

I agree about Oti, a fabulous dress. But why did they put Kevin in a bluish maroon outfit and Louise in scarlet. A dreadful colour clash.

Apart from Kevin's shirt....

Kevin's outfit didn't look blueish maroon on my TV. Maroon yes - but I didn't pick up on any blue tones.

I didn't care for the frill on the front of Daisy's dress - something that doesn't do any favours for a professional clothes wearer is probably not a good design. Otherwise I agree, the costumes were pretty spot on this week.

Charleston outfits were great, even Pasha. He reminded me of the old 50s movies swimming outfits.

Overall great, just the combinations were weird.
Pink with pink for Claudia and AJ, tto much!
Why did Giovanni have to have the same lace on as Laura, her dress was beautiful, he could have been in a suit with a matching tie, instead again, too much!!

But tails!! Danny and Oti were sublime, can we have more tails please!

A bit of clash is good sometimes . in fact I preferred that choice to claudia and AJ in matching bright pink .
Daisy's dress was just . every time she did one of her bendy moves I expected the bum seam to pop open ! Loved the ruching on the bum seam , it really exaggerated her fabulous little arse and the waterfall frilling on the front seam and edges lifted the dress from a basic glittery gown to something special .

The dress might have been lovely, but the hairstyle they gave Louise made her look really old. What are they trying to do to her?

Why are the girls wearing the support tights though? Laura was wearing them last week and I think Daisy had them on this week. What's wrong with the old fish-nets?

I absolutely adored Laura's dress....definitely my favourite so far by a country mile

YES ! I always say that . tails or dinner jackets can make a guy look fabulous in the ballroom dances .
I don't think I've ever seen a dinner jacket/tuxedo look naff on anyone .

Oh I loved that hairstyle.

I wish I could get my hair to do that.

They were naff right enough , but totally in keeping with the theme and he wore them well . I laughed at him referencing Boris Becker in the audience , cheeky boy

Certainly not 5 stars from me - Katya's dress was hideous (as was Janette's similar dress when she was standing in the Clauditorium), and Giovanni's shirt was atrocious! And Naga and Pasha haven't had a single decent outfit this series yet. And that's even before we get to the crime against everything that was the lederhosen for a Viennese Waltz - whoever's idea that was deserves the sack, not 5 stars!

Oti's dress was absolutely stunning though, and I also liked the two Rumba dresses, Lesley's Charleston dress and Jo's Jive dress. I'm just longing to see some more proper full-skirted ballroom dresses like they always used to have

Generally I think the wardrobe department does a solid job.

Would like to see more full-length ballroom dresses though. They do seem to be trying to save on material. If the BBC wants to manage the budget, pare down the props and stage dressing and give the extra funds to wardrobe.

Best dressed couple for me was Danny and Oti. They both look fab-u-lous!

In the time they have and the commitment they show, I think they do sterling work.
However:
hated Daisy's dress with a passion (missing in that rumba)
not keen on Greg's floral shirt
didn't like Oksana's pinny
think Louise would be better in Sunetra's dresses (bigger bust needs flattering)
disliked Anastacia's deep v cut
thought Ed would have been better off in a Sean Connery Highlander outfit
and not enthused about Oksana's outfit (just do Princess Fiona why not)

They all speak very highly of me and my sartorial choices (shabby geek) I'm sure

Loved, loved, loved Oti's dress.

The only other dress that made an impression, although not a good one, was Daisys, thought it was awful, made her look too long and the colour was terrible on her I thought.

Edit, just remembered Lauras dress, I liked that one as well...not as much as Otis though.

Men in knee length trousers and long socks - Ed and Rinder - make their feet look enormous.
When dealing with an amateur dancer the last thing you want is an outfit that draws attention to your feet!

Naga's dress was nice but the unmatched knickers were awful.

I;m afraid I can't agree. The dancers should be dressed in dance attire, ballroom dresses for ladies and tailsuits for men, rather than party frocks and tight trousers with open pockets,
What a difference it made to Danny and Oti's performance. I expect cost has something to do with it as the tails are expensive and have to be made exactly to the dancers measurements unlike the dresses. Dresses are easily sold on, tails not so much

And there was me thinking how tiny Ed's feet looked in his silver shoes.

Agree re-the knickers. The awful tights make their legs look plastic even though they seem to have fishnets over the top. Daisy looked like a long beige spill of paint with added glitter.

If a man is to have a lace top (as per Giovanni) at least make it the same lace as his partners dress, rather than a different pattern.

Much better this year. Last year was bad and I was sick of seeing that job lot of coloured bangles that every female wore to match their costume.

Improving, but enough with the big chunky zips! Urgh! Originally an excuse to use less talented seamstresses, but the SCD dresses really shouldn't need them, and they ruin the back of some of the dresses.
