Why won't people vote for SAara?

I can't warm to her. Not because she's Finnish (l am Portuguese and live in the U.K.) but since the 6 chair challenge, when she came back to stage whining that it was unfair.... started the dislike then. Also, she doesn't feel genuine to me, too theatrical and affected... it just doesn't gel.

Having said this, l do believe she's got an extraordinary voice. But she doesn't inspire me to vote for her.

On a purely technical level - tone, pitching, phrasing etc. - she is easily one of the strongest singers there. There were many, many singers worse than her. And we're not even talking about Honey G yet.

As a fellow Finn, I think she can come across as a little insincere and 'fake' and not very likeable because of this. As in, she's saying how much she's enjoying it, how much she wants it and loves the experience and appreciates the opportunity, but as the words come out there isn't much emotion behind them, or it seems forced, acted. This is a national trait - our talent for understatement is world class and even in situations that can be regarded as an experience of a lifetime, Best Moment Ever, we can stay a little guarded and reserved. Instead of bursting out with all the joy we're feeling, we keep it in. And in my experience having lived here for over 5 years now, you Brits take a while to understand that. And now with those 5+ years behind me and watching Saara on TV I can totally see it too - I first didn't think she was very likeable and thought she was a bit 'try-hard' and pretending to be quirky and bubbly, until I remembered that that's just how quirkiness and joy is expressed when Finnish.

Well she is being voted for as she had more votes than Freddy and may have had more than Ryan before the final vote. X Factor is a popularity contest as much as anything and so merely being able to sing has never been enough. Saara comes across as very desperate and that is quite off putting to people so what with that and the fact that there are actually other good singers and more easy to like contestants it's easy not to vote for her.

Maybe trying to look quirky with the shade side does not correspond to the style of song she sings and is a bit of a put off for some.

Also could be a bit of Brexit type attitude plus the fact she has had a career in music. How many X Factor finalists have sung with Andrea Bocelli and Jose Carreras?

It's a shame coz she is one of the few acts to actually display some sort of personality. I love her OTT facial expressions every time Dermot announces something or when she is receiving her critique after a performance

Quick question. When it went to deadlock did she say to Freddie " I could really be going home?" Almost in shock. Or did I hear that wrong. She seemed slightly bewildered!

Every time she puts on a sour face she loses votes.
Every time she blames the British public she loses votes.
Every time she sings a constipation note she loses votes.
Every time Mrs O messes up her name/nationality she loses votes.

Like votes even matter. Doing well in the xfactor normally does more harm than good.

I totally agree. I haven't warmed to her at all but imo she has an amazing voice and the best singer by miles.
I hope Sharons rudeness and unprofessionalism backfires and Saara makes it to the finals, though I'm not holding my breath.

I like Saara's voice and that's enough for me. Not really interested in judging her apparent quirky expressions or her personality. It's a singing competition.

Last week she was not good at all, not even in the sing off. This week she was brilliant and I have noticed that no other contestant works as hard as her. In River Deep, she sang both Male and female part plus background parts.

Who knows maybe we'll find out with the full voting figures that if they kept it as just the bottom 2 instead of bottom 3 Saara might have avoided the sing-off. The lifeline app vote will always be geared towards the tweens.

Sharon making an absolute show of herself and showing a complete disregard for Saara, when she's the most talented artist there doesn't help either.

Do agree with you, all to do with Brexit. She could have the voice of an angel, but Brexit could wreck all her chances. After tonight's sing-off, she ought to stay to the end.

No bounce back vote either not sure she will be saved for a third time next week

I have only watched XF for the first time tonight, and in fact have missed the last few series. But even though she was by far the best in the sing off, I must admit I did roll my eyes a bit - another powerful belter with technicality and no emotion. The last time I watched Sam Bailey won and she seemed an old-fashioned winner a few years ago.

There is no place for a singer like this any more - you can know she is good at the same time as not being bothered whether you ever hear her sing again. I'm after something different these days and I wonder whether a lot of the voting public think so too.

lol after Cowell voted her out and it went to deadlock she looked like she thought it was all over, I don't think she knew it was actually going to deadlock and when they announced it was going to deadlock I think she turned to Freddy and said something like "I thought I was going home" something like that. My heart truly bleeds, she really does not deserve to be in the bottom 2 this week or last.

Don't feel sorry for her she's already had a career in the music industry.
