I remember when she got booed for singing in French at 6 chair, I doubt that would've happened in previous years.

I think there is just a lot of anti-eu sentiment around at the moment and a lot of people knowingly or not will have her nationality in their minds when they watch her perform. I think in previous years she would be coming top 4 easily each week if not higher.

Obviously there are people who simply wouldn't like her anyway.

I hope she can somehow win people over.

I also feel abit for her because if you look at her Wikipedia page it looks like she has had lots and lots of 'almost made it' times in her career.”

"Lots and lots of almost made it times" does that tell you it's not just the British audience she fails to connect with?

Because she is extremely unlikeable and she just shouts. No stage presence, will never sell records.

Also her attitude at the six chair challenge was just ridiculous. At least when Mason Noise acted so up himself he acknowledged it and apologised. It's clear she thinks she is a LOT better than what she actually is.

She certainly does have one hell of a voice. She's mesmerising at times.

I'm thinking about what Simon said about making her a bit crazier next week, show a different personality - I hope they don't gave her a drastic make over It might put people off even more

I think (depending on the song) she should shine on Diva week. Alisha (so many years ago ) had a sing off the first two weeks, then had two weeks safe, so maybe Saara will do that?

They tried the dramatic makeover route with Katie Waissel where they chopped off all her hair, and it didn't really help much. I hope Saara doesn't come out next weekend with an all over buzz cut or something

That became a joke in itself with Katie - every week looking different, and saying 'This is the real me'

For me, it's very simple. In her non sing off performances, she's always using the belting, almost shouty part of her voice, so there's no light and shade and beauty to her vocal. She has a vocal limit that when she goes past is abit harsh. If she used the lighter side of her voice more often, then built up to a vocal climax where she was belting and used the harsh part of her voice only once, she would be much more pleasant and interesting to listen to and would express a lot more character in her vocal. She sings too one way. In her sing off performances, it's a different story.

But her non sing off performances are hurting her cos on Saturday night, that's the last impression before the vote. Also styling, especially hair, is so important. Memorable, lovable song choices that aren't buchered and sung very well, is EVERYTHING.

I find Gifty, Ryan and Honey G less likeable than Saara”

Yes. Gifty (who I think is one of the strongest singers to be fair) in particular I find has a far less likeable personality than Saara. Gifty to me is far more arrogant and entitled than her, but seems to get a free pass.

I haven't liked her since her fit on six chair challenge, she is not a singer that could dent the charts ,she is just another fame hungry wannabe been on lots off shows in her own country and flopped

I've just said on another thread why I feel others may not vote for her & I don't feel brexit has anything to do with it! Ruth Lorenzo had an amazing voice which wasn't screechy, hence why she did so well.”

Loved Ruth she was the best by far that year, Sarra is the same , brilliant singer but doesnt score with the English public who vote.

I don't understand it, it''s a singing competition and boy can Saara sing- Her version of Run was incredible, very polished and I could hear the pain in the lyrics on the 'I can barely look at you' line- Personally I think she''s far too good for the show and maybe that's why people aren't voting?

I think she said "I thought I was going home" - or something like that.

In Finnish media she explained how she thought she was already going home. She didn't realize it was going to 'deadlock'. She seemed to be totally 'out of it'. I've never seen her like that.

I too think she should go down the weird route like Sia, Lady Gaga etc.

She could sing Bjork it's oh so quiet even though Kitty Brucknell did it was a long time ago

Except Sia,Bjork and Gaga are genuinely talented eccentric singer songwriters rather than a never was been with a forced fake persona who couldn't even make it in their country of birth.its nothing to do with brexit by the way because I voted remain and still would again.the British public simply aren't interested .no hidden agenda just fact.

She didn't even give Honey G a chair and she seems to be doing OK!

Her 6 chair thing when she didn't like being sent home seems slightly at odds with the rest of her behaviour. Even this week she was thanking everyone for voting for her even thought most contestants would have been sulking about being 10th most popular out of 11

The producers probably pushed her back on stage at 6 chair

Hardly any drama that happens on XF isn't scripted or directed.

I see she took my advice

Do you think contestants have actually started reading this board? She also said that people are not voting because she's not from here, that idea has come from this thread I don't believe it's true.

No it's not. It's a popularity contest. Do you really think any generic X Factor voter would ever vote for best voice over an arrogant personality?

This is why she doesn't get votes. Her personality doesn't resonate with the public. It's bullshy, argoant and me, me, me. I dare to think this is the Finnish way, but she's not afraid of public performances having done Eurovision twice. Maybe that's why the public don't like her.

I think in general many of those that watch and vote just prefer the male acts rather than femaile hence the many bland winners that we get.

She has thousands of Finns and Eurovision fans outside of the UK voting for her, she'll be fine and will be in the competition for a while. Even Finnish press has released the instructions on how to vote for her from abroad. So she's actually now getting votes from the UK and abroad, where most of the others only get votes from the UK.

It is a very marginal group of Finns who actually bother to take the time to install the application in Finland and vote for her. I doubt those votes are keeping her in the competition.
