MEDIABASE: LITTLE MIX - Shout Out To My Ex: 0.441 [02/11/16]

Well, at least its a gain, as miniscule as that is. #50 on radio has an audience of 1.247 million.

I'm not exactly sure what Jillboard is on YouTube but it has the Hot 100 and I did notice they love using Perrie for the thumbnails.

I keep saying, Country is becoming fashionable now on both sides of the Atlantic. Beyonce performed with the Dixie Chicks tonight. Its nice to see the Dixie Chicks making a comeback.

I want a song that sounds more original than what we've been getting though, I'm tired of the this sounds like x + y comparisons, I know every song will sound like an older one but so far there have indeed been notable similarities
Yes! I came here to post something similar. There are still 11 songs left (not counting the Touch acoustic). So hopefully they wil sound more original than those we have heard already.

By the way, the verses in "You Gotta Not" remind me of Shaggy's "It wasn't Me".

how do we think cohesion is going so far?
It's 2016, what's original anymore? Everything has been done before whether producers want to act like its some brand new invention. Everything has taken inspiration from something. So I don't know what brand new sound you're looking for.

I doubt there's going to be any cohesion in terms of sound, after hearing YGN and FU. We just have to accept the fact Salute will be the closest cohesion like album, unless they have a particular sound they want to go into like they did with 90s R&B. The lyrical content of GD could be seen as cohesive though, each song representing stages of love, heartbreak, freedom etc.

Most of the albums I like this year didn't immediately takr me back to another artist's work the way these three songs did...

Perrie was up and out by 4 this morning (according to Snapchat) so they must be on their way

I'm sure they've all been influenced by previous genres and aritsts work you may not have heard of.

What are those albums by the way?

Clean Bandit finally overtook LM on iTunes. It only took almost 3 weeks for LM to fall off #1. Well done.
