I keep thinking a more clever handling of the F.U hook would have been "X-Y-A-B-C-D-E-F-U" instead of repeating E three times for no reason.

I haven't heard it yet, does it sound like they were struggling to keep composure before just letting go?

Resigned but attracted sigh, I guess? You should just listen to it, the vocals are great and it's easily stood up to several dozen replays so far.

Worth mentioning that F.U is #19 on Spotify's US new releases today, right next to Kiiara's new track, and is also on their New Music Friday playlist. After Get Weird wasn't even listed, it's nice to see them getting a little help this time out.

Will they do the Jingle Bell Ball this year? As Capital seem to get them on both every year lol

I didn't check actually, because I wasn't as enthused, but according to https://spotifyunchained.com it was! I just googled that site, but probably reliable enough.

After I asked I learned how to navigate the spotontrack.com site, which lists all current and past playlists for a track, so I found my answer, haha. That one says F.U. is #23 on New Music, though.

Random thought, I wonder if US radio is having a problem because it has no frame of reference for a pop group that is only getting bigger at the 5 year mark. All of our groups are always way past peak or broken up by this point, because they've either been primarily a tween image marketing exercise or a vehicle for grooming a young solo star. The UK, by contrast, has seen Girls Aloud release their biggest album after the 5 year mark.

So a 40 year old bloke just asked me if I can play Little Mix's new song because it's 'catchy' 😂

Crossing demographics!

So other than the inclusion of Leigh Anne the rest of the names are registered with the songs on APRA......also beep beep is an old track that they have reused. I guess it got reworked to hell and back.

That final 50 seconds of F U, I have 100% completely fallen in love with and I hope that proper ballad they talk about on the album loving includes some harmonies on par with it. I keep replaying that part over and over, I can't even stop myself anymore.

Maegan Cottone knows how to get those vocals out of these girls god damn.....

I thought this was the ballad they loved? Its LA's favorite, at least.

I am DYING at this commentary! "Half the group briefly go into seizures while the other half look on in amusement".

Considering the director is the same as the DNA video, was this another weird running sequence she snuck in?

One thing that really bugs me is that Spanish model guy is hitchhiking in the desert, yet the girls are waving at him while in the purple orchard.

Also why is Jesy mailing things right next to the trailer?

If not that, what about a sax solo as part of the bridge, as suggested on another thread?

I also notice with F.U. that there are no comments about there being lack of progression or development in LM music. And that is because F.U. Is undeniably one of their most mature songs musically.

I thought there was one proper ballad and the abcdef song (as Perrie called it) that they loved and were really wanting to perform.

F.U. is a slow to medium tempo song, it's not a ballad.

The interview on the Norwegian talkshow. I couldn't find a video of their performance.

I'm glad they actually get to talk a little bit on those shows and not just perform.

Someone on PJ posted a link to the performance:
http://www.tv2.no/v/1079718/

They were miming the chorus again, no surprise there. but this time it was even more obvious.
Leigh didn't do her high note.
