I think it won't be pushed, to be honest. Can't say I'm really mad either. Was always a bit scared of this song annoying people as it seems to have done it quickly in the UK...

Eh? Streaming increased by 20k the previous day in the UK, and its been increasing streams around the world. No big dropoff in sight yet in the aggregate.

I am not tired of it at all. I also dont compulsively consume music like a lot of hardcore fans though. I listen to it thru the video to give it views but at a more normal airplay rate of 5-6x daily.

I noticed the SF station played it about 4x the last week, going by their Twitter feed.

It was saturday though it's normal for it to increase. I'm saying it based on how Twitter shifted a bit too radically very quick from british people.

A guy on PJ commented that Touch is amazing but I don't know if he's messing around.

Well YT views are still healthy. 44,102,508 views now.

I think it'll do better where they're not yet very known since radio won't play it to death right away. It's definitely better in small doses.

Very coincidentally, I was just watching the video clip of their performance last night when the decision was being announced. My thoughts, coming from someone who loved Wilson Phillips at the time and is still in love with the song, was "that wasnt bad at all" . From all the comments I thought they'd massacred it but not the case. However, it wasnt exciting enough to energize people over to their side. I thought that performance would have been good a week or two earlier to help gain fans.

Of course now I have to watch LM's group performance of Hold On.

I also thought that blatant attempt to recreate a "Jesy reads bad comments" moment was off putting.

They were fairly good last night but in the sing off they were dreadful, just glad i don't have to listen to anymore rubbish talk from Louis.

That's the other thing I find really amusing. All the praise comments he's spouted are literally the exact same ones he gave LM in 2011. Go back and watch each week.

Backtracking to Headline Planet's article, Columbia hasnt updated their flyer for this week, which usually comes out Mondays, so lets wait and see what it says if anything new.

How good were LM even then? 4 great finalists that year. And Jesy always had big hair.

To be honest, I didnt think they were great vocalists, but what they had was a lot of stage presence. Whenever they performed they were exciting and that remains today.

Also at the time the show focused very heavily on Perrie only from Week 6 on. Its why I cant ever rewatch their charity single video, she was the only one with lines.

One more rant (Hold On group performance)

I always thought this was how Leigh Anne's voice should be used more often. She's very controlled and smooth when she's allowed to sing lower.

I think that big hair gave them an unfair advantage.

Any time I saw any of it, Louis Walsh was saying everything he had already said to LM, whilst having not-so-subtle digs at every other girl group out there. Way to alienate the people most likely to vote for them!

Yes I see what you mean Leigh is far more comfortable in that range.

Also her part in the We Are Young cover here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFBDD4xx31k&t=47s

and when she does the Janelle Monae part later.

This was also the first time we got to hear Jesy's range too. But what is it with all of their skin tones! They look like their weird dolls.

I'd love an acoustic one too. Was BM the last song with which we got a proper acoustic performance?

An acoustic album with a deluxe bts DVD of their studio sessions.

"Okay. All I will say is that it is the best of the songs I've heard so far. It certainly is the banger that we were promised. You'll all enjoy it."

It's not so much that it's an "MNEK signature banger" but you can tell he's worked on it.

And then you asked, "Is it the right choice to push it in the US over SOTME?"

Yes, If pushed correctly I can see this being a legitimate hit in the US.

This is where I get sceptical without hearing it. They (LM team and to some extent UK forum posters) were absolutely wrong about Move and Salute, and wrong again about SOTME which without any push already was a hit for LM in the US and continues to do well internationally for LM. The UK/European sensibility for songs seems different to the US.
