Yeah thats the whole point of the Red Room! LMLY seems to be their latest one. Maybe Guitar Guy will play for them again.

Songs such as the pulsating Touch – basically the flip-side to Shout Out to My Ex’s sexual frustrations – and the haunted ballad Nobody Like You both sound more like songs women in their mid-20s might be keen to make.

Thank you both for finding this.....
Brilliant and funny as usual.

“Conversing with Little Mix – the 2011 X Factor winners who are the most successful British girl band since the Spice Girls (nine top 10 singles, including four No 1s so far, with a fourth album, Glory Days, arriving imminently) – feels like the interview equivalent of herding cats. Every time you sense you have got their attention, they catch each other’s eye, an in-joke bubbles up and, suddenly, you have lost them. The Top Trump cards were meant to bring focus; it didn’t work.”

Considering they were pretty damning in their GW review, that's gotta be a good sign right?

Michael Cragg is a freelancer who wrote the piece. He did the Beats interview before Get Weird and has been a longtime fan. The Guardian bought his article. Still, I dont think they've ever run a puff piece on them before. Another sign of their stature now.

OM I think the GA fans wont like that part.

Not meaning this to be negative, I think they are smashing it with the new songs I've heard, but if you're going off chart positions can it really be said they are the most successful since Spice Girls?

Sugababes had 18 top ten hits with six number ones, Girls Aloud had 21 top ten hits with four number ones. Even Atomic Kitten had 13 top tens with three number ones.

I'm not saying it to discount LM achievements but going off the chart positions, as the writer appears to have done, it's not really true.

I think he meant worldwide, which is kinda true, none of these others had a fanbase as solid as them do in other countries.

Fair enough, like I say just appeared like he was going off UK chart positions.

I think Sugababes had a solid base in Europe that kept them playing big festivals from 2002-2008/9ish and did ok in Australia but Girls Aloud and Atomic Kitten were pretty much UK acts.

Glad to see SOTME matching their longest run at #1. Is it looking like surpassing it this week?

I'm not sure, it'll be close I think, between them, James and Clean Bandit.

@jenofcroths Amazing right?! They were laughing so hard I couldn't get to the bottom of what had happened there

@MichaelCragg i love the faint shadiness of "I enjoy her" from Jade, sounds like a fun interview experience 😂

@MichaelCragg
@platinumjones It was about forty minutes of giggling with some brief chat in-between
