As always, they should completely ignore what Popjustice thinks. Those guys barely know what they want themselves, let alone having a clue what is natural for an act, what will resonate.

Kinda seems like they aren't going to push SOTME in the US at this point. Ah well. Time for the Euro campaign!

They know what they want. Xenomania 2006 or Bust.

I notice ATRL which draws more Americans seems to like Oops more than other places.

I'm confused about the contradictory behavior with SOTMX in the US. Why bother putting it on Hot Tracks now when it cant help the album if they arent pushing it? And again the public defies them by continuing to like the song.

Because they have an arrangement with Apple, and because their performance means they are selling enough singles/albums to make it worthwhile.

I'm disappointed with the lack of push as well, but perhaps they are lining something up to impact in December after the Euro stuff. Perhaps.

I'm confused by this too, the US has had a lot of missed opportunities in their career. What are they hoping for, a top 40 before they bother pushing it?

Maybe it was a Death Match with JA in the US, and tbh JA is winning.

Maybe a build up for the album release on Friday?

Do Hot Tracks arrangements go into 2 weeks? Because taking it off on album release week seems stupid if its only going to decline when it could have helped the album.

If they have to get Touch out in Jan. before they come over I dont think that would work.

All this is wild speculation on my part and hey, obviously the current chart toppers are there because they're part of the present musical movement so it may do fabulously for them.”

Oh, I see. I'm not too worried about it. It helps that the song has a VERY catchy chorus and harmonies. The middle 8 is one of the best parts they've ever recorded.

I hope the music video is good! They also need to perform the acoustic version a few times. The snippet sounded great!

Is he on Hot Tracks as well?

OT but do you know why "You don't own me" by Grace is suddenly so high on Itunes? It was released last year

No he isnt, yet he is head to head with LM on iTunes at #75 and he is way ahead of them on US and Global Spotify. He also got an add from a radio station already without having an impact date.

Yeah, on numbers I would push JA first... but the label should consider the possibility that maybe they're *both* hits, you know? The UK hasn't had one of its own hit #1 all year until the JA/LM/CB run.

Oh well He's still #1 in Australia too and charting higher than LM in most European countries. I guess people just love a ballad sung by a guy with a guitar.

I agree that both are hits, but timewise now we're bumping up against Touch's schedule for LM. Unless you think they would attempt two at once which I think you said would "confuse radio".

Good ol Brian Cantor riding Columbia's treatment of LM.

#ShoutOutToMyEx + #SayYouWontLetGo in this week's Columbia US Radio Newsletter: Still "coming soon."

I'm surprised they arent jumping on JA quicker and its the season for ballads.

What do people do at dinner time? Start pulling things out of the freezer in a frenzy?

I assume the girls are flying home now to restore order back in the UK.
