I have always felt that Leigh-Anne was always short changed for solo across all albums.
I know people say that se was all over GWbut I think that was mainly as the leadish voice on the chorus when they sung together and not with solos.
However on GD she gets some decent parts. ReallyJesy leads the way here but I really feel that Perrie peaked early and as we're so used to her carrying all the songs we almost ignore that she still is up there carrying alot of the songs, delivering the power pieces etc In a way I feel like every album's is Perrie. The real issue is whether any of the other joint her in this accolade or not.
I really feel that in GD, Jade is the one that got shafted. She has an amazingly versatile voice but didnt get many bits to shine on this album. Leigh-Anne got allocated one or two middle 8's that probably ordinarily would have gone to Jade and thus she kinda robbed Jade of her usual glory. Yikes!!!!”
I do kind of agree with you about Jade, she seems somewhat less present on GD. Maybe I'm totally wrong but I think it's because Jesy's voice lends itself best to club/dance tracks and, also, Leigh has just improved so much that they both shine more on GD. Perrie and Jade, on the other hand, have always been solid so perhaps their parts are just less obvious.
It would be interesting to know how makes the decisions when it comes to dividing up solos.
