Your Love would be fine on that show.

If Columbia did this with every act they would soon be out of business.

it appears that here there are no more albums to sell.... not surprising considering they've only issued 2,000 copies. all online orders are due on 3 weeks at least

Nice to see SOTME still improving even if its not going mega, but I will take that.

Looks like they won't be doing TOTP for the third year running now.

I cant figure out what the Today Show is supposed to highlight. It wont help SOTMX if its not on radio, and it wont help Touch in the US since thats even less known. At least SOTMX has the streaming and video and very limited radio play on countdowns.

Columbia didn't even put the Today show on the flyer and it usually does that.

The way things have gone its like they have decided on a quick global release to capture the UK Christmas market, with that in mind and the lack of CDs in the Americas its looking like a re-release is on the cards over there in the new year.

No doubt I will be proved wrong by Columbia though.

Nice little side plug from Sony UK boss Jason Iley in HitsDD.
http://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=303968

My take on the reason new UK acts are having trouble breaking this year (I read a few other handwringing articles yesterday before seeing this) is that it's simply a talent/approach problem. I haven't seen any WGWG groups with competitive star power, and/or really throwing down and getting after it. You need at least one of those two or I'm going to get bored and forget about your band the second the track stops playing.

A wildly new idea would work too but I'm not even sure what that would look like. Throwback rock or slightly more complex/twee electronica ain't cutting it.

Speaking of SLS, does anyone know if it still as a chance of getting a Brits nomination?

I believe it just means they are selecting album tracks along with the single to feature on heavy rotation, as opposed to just one song. They did it for Jack Savoretti and Simply Minds so far this month too.

He's doing a Fleur and premiering Oops.

How would an all male SLS sound?

Just catching up on their latest performances, the acoustic of SOTME is sounding a lot nicer now, Jesy is sounding truely stunning on it, I feel like she's owning the song the most lately. Watching them perform in a relaxed environment is always so enjoyable. You can tell they do all genuinely get on and that chemistry works so well on stage.

I really hope they start performing some of the new album live soon, I feel like that might help with me warming up to it. Something like Power live would be insane.

Too bad that Matt guy doesn't even have 10% of that boy's talent. He'll probably just scream throughout his whole performance.
