I took that as being a tie in to the earlier line about not liking kids? Still an awful line regardless though! But the worst one for me is about showing off your muffin top... that just goes against everything that Little Mix (and once upon a time, Meghan Trainor!) stand for. Really don't like that.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the Egyptian cotton line in Your Love though? It starts off by saying 'Luxurious loving...' and, if I'm not wrong, Egyptian cotton would be somewhat luxurious?

The muffin top line I dont get the social outrage over. It doesnt have anything to do with appearance, its a reference to his vanity?

Egyptian cotton is luxurious, the metaphor is just a little inane. When I heard that I thought of the character E in The Incredibles and her mad scientist super hero costumes deflecting bomb blasts "and it breathes like Egyptian cotton". Its one of the memorable comedic lines.

Album sellers!
9 +36 Little Mix - Glory Days
15 +18 Little Mix - Glory Days (Deluxe Concert Film Edition)

If the compilations ahead of it are removed, GD is #4 on iTunes. Although we know its physicals they mostly get its still a nice boost on downloads.

Also 1.4 million people in Finland watched the show and since LM were on immediately before the result, they all got to see the girls.

I think deeming it social outrage is exaggerating. I think it has everything to do with appearance... muffin top is something that you see?

I've seen The Incredibles and don't remember that line.

Just goes to show we all read different things into lyrics.

Its the line I used to see being talked about most on social media when it was released. About the words themselves, it could have been "your paunchy belly" or anything really but that wouldnt fit the rhyme or meter. The "showing off" part is what I took from it.

As with the Egyptian cotton line, I think of more common metaphors like silk, satin or velvet but those dont fit the rhyme either. It feels prosaic (which was why that line in the movie was so funny describing a superhero costume).

The reason I brought it up is that it took me out of the song unintentionally, and its a song I like.

See the muffin top line does exactly that to me in You Gotta Not. As I said before, different lyrics mean different things to different people. That was probably too many 'differents' in the one sentence but you get what I'm saying!

That's great about the number of Finnish people seeing them. Have the girls ever been there before?

No! I noticed they had Helsinki in the Glory Days Road Trip campaign and it stuck out to me because I hadnt noticed any level of social media support like Poland and Portugal in Europe. I cant find a source but I just read that it was a 2.5 million peak in Finland, which would have been around when LM were on. I'd love to know what the Finns thought but they were probably focussing on Saara.

Per the Telegraph, in the UK last night was the least watched Final. I remember people dragging LM but they had almost twice last night's audience.

2016 7 million (Winner: Matt Terry)
2015 8.4 million (Winner: Louisa Johnson)

2012 11.1 million (Winner: James Arthur)
2011 13.1 million (Winner: Little Mix)
2010 17.2 million (Winner: Matt Cardle)
2009 15.5 million (Winner: Joe McElderry)
2008 13.2 million (Winner: Alexandra Burke)
2007 11.7 million (Winner: Leon Jackson)
2006 10.4 million (Winner: Leona Lewis)
2005 9.3 million (Winner: Shayne Ward)
2004 8.1 million (Winner: Steve Brookstein)

I just checked the view counter for the performance, its only on 164k. Thats unusually low for LM.

I don't think it's listed... I have to keep going back somewhere someone's already posted it to watch it...

I don't know if it's just me but when I go on The X Factor YouTube page, Little Mix's performance from last night isn't on their list of videos. It's not easily found on YouTube at all. As I say, could be that I'm not looking properly or I have a setting off or something but it's not showing up for me on the list where it should be. If it's the same for others then maybe that's something to do with why the view count is lower?

Edit - Felp, you bet me to it and said it in a much better way!

Why won't XF put the SOTMX performance back on YT as well?

I'll just have to repost it then.

Oops/Touch on XF
https://youtube.com/watch?v=HXYCwMr9dfM

I'm grateful its up. Usually XF is geoblocked until the US shows it a day later. Maybe thats why its not searchable yet. Watch the views go up when its discoverable.

The XF US performance of Move is still up years later, I dont know why XF UK always deletes videos.

That 1-2 punch seems to have worked. Combined, Touch is #6 and Oops #11 on iTunes.

Little Mix are #11, #12 and #13 on Itunes. Please God let Touch creep into the Top 10.

Its irrelevant at this point because that Winners single is selling so hard. LM are 10% of it.

After hearing oops last night for the first time and liking it I went to listen to Spotify to hear the album version and its now my favourite ever little mix song. such a jam.

While I was there I listen to some of the album tracks. Boom Boom or something like that did not expect them lyrics 😮 hahahaha. Can never see that being a single 😂

I think it'd be benefitial one way or another as it'd postpone the end of the x factor boost with the top 10 boost.

Also, combined, Little Mix are #6, #8 and #11 on itunes.

I dont think Charlie lurching onstage to stand with them was helpful staging but if he does his usual seated at a piano thing in the US I think it would go over well if they keep it playful. Jade, queen of connecting with duet partners.

He looked exhausted though, so I'll give him a pass. And he's been really sick.

Touch was added to Hot Hits UK but it's very low there.

It had 37k streams yesterday, #185 in the UK.

The Oops performance put a huge smile on my face. They all sounded great and Charlie was hilariously awkward

LOVED hearing them sing the chorus live!

You seriously didn't see this coming? The UK loves Childish Mix.

Oh stop already. It's not childish. The song itself was always going to do well whenever it was a single. It was obviously a risk, but you have to stop calling anything that's not urban or EDM childish.
