Interesting. I was voting and when I left it LM was ahead 200 votes. When I returned 20 minutes later, Skylar Stecker was ahead 700 votes.

Late, but I love that acoustic video. It presents them well, and they are really able to get into it sitting down and performing for a small receptive audience. I would have loved to see it continue for another song or two as I felt they just got warmer and warmer as it went on.

Amazing job by @BrasilLM to rally the troops on that radio poll. They pulled ahead thanks to the Brazilians and ended up 600 votes ahead. The song is playing now on 98.7 AMP.

Ironically the Camila solo song is playing right after and....I dont know about that voice. Sheesh.

Oops, for some reason I guess have a false memory of them struggling a bit with a few other acoustic guitarists in the US. Maybe those were actually earlier UK sessions where he wasn't available.

The South American contingent has LM at a very solid #4 on the Spanish MTV video poll as well. They're really becoming a force.

It was amazing though. I left the voting to take a call and when I came back half an hour before the close there were just under an additional 2,500 votes.

It really seems like they should be able to squeeze in a two-weekend SA & Mexico leg at respectably sized venues.

I'm hoping the label is waiting to see if they can get a US hit as that seems to drive interest in SA countries quite a bit. Or perhaps they're just scrambling figuring out whether to add even more dates in the UK and Ireland (which btw I just checked and has all dates fully sold out.)

Thats amazing. I can only see them adding dates once again at the beginning. I hope they dont try to infill with too many matinees because 2 shows in one day all the time isnt going to help their health. Even Broadway has only one matinee day of the week.

Er, just to be clear only Ireland has all dates sold out. Most of the newest UK dates are only mostly sold. They can certainly add more in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Cardiff, and London though.

When Jesy was leading Perrie was doing the bottom note, Jade middle and Leigh Name top. In previous acapella Leigh Ann would drop to Jesy's harmony.
The girls seem to be swapping harmonies this time round to try to be as versatile as they can.
Very helpful in case one of them falls ill and cannot perform. I commend this.

Good point. Jesy has a unique tone, she is a proper contralto. However I've heart Jade hit some bottom notes before.
Perrie sounds as if she needs a good rest. Her voice seems very strained. I hope she has not damaged her vocal chords. This is probably the reason why she was not singing the top harmony on Touch...

I think this is a first. The LM Vevo on YouTube now has the Today show performance of SOTMX uploaded on their own channel. I bet this is in advance of them launching the song on US radio formally.

Yeah, Jesy and the raspy Perrie are the more distinctive vocal sounds. The increased versatility around the harmonies are all great developments thoug.

LM also have a whole set of good songs. So, the next step might be to add a little more interest to the musical production in the way that The 1975 and Twenty One Pilots have done?

I listened to Tom Chaplin's album yesterday and apart from 1 or 2 songs it wasn't that great.

Hopefully that will translate into Brits/Grammy or stretching it ... a Mobo awards (Touch has a little afro beat flavour into it)

I think LM should maybe try a more full on Afro Beat groove at some time. I was thinking more Talking Heads than Fela Kuti mind you.

I've seen YGN on a few playlists though That's why I asked if Power had been added to some big ones as well.

YGN has boosts from being the first grat track and its album position, so Power's performance is really impressive. It may be getting a reinforcing effect from being the third highest GD track on their page.

NMSS continues to be the other standout relative to its position and lack of grat track status, in line with fan polls and general sentiment.

Regardless of singles it would be amazing if we could get visuals for both Power and NMSS. I can already feel it coming, one or the other will be cut for a repack single that doesn't match up to either.
