I get the medical experiment thing.

I have to say, I think LM have barely begun, they have a lot to say and do before they get to the reunion stage. I think their best work is still ahead of them.”

The talk of split I find annoying, it was mentioned on the local radio 'because LM are so popular'

Sounds like an American way of thinking... the group has gotten big enough, now it's time to use it as a platform for launching "real" solo acts.

Actually there aren't really many modern western girl groups who have made it to their 6th year, and in the few cases I can think of they would have been heading for hiatus & solo careers (Girls Aloud) or about to lose a member (En Vogue/Bananarama) by what would be the end of LM's tour next year.

Sounds like a good chance for LM to distinguish themselves to me. Even the Backstreet Boys were declining by this point (edit: although damn were they still selling well out of the spotlight) while LM are still rising. I agree they've barely begun, they keep getting better and better and they're coming together more and more deeply. They're only scratching the surface of what is possible live, I will tell you that.

If they want to, it does seem like they have many years left in them. I hope they do want to as they are in a very strong position and could potentially make some incredible history as a group.

Unpopular opinion alert - but I hope they keep their label/management and team all the same (UK), it seems to be working wonders right now.

I was going to say that pregnancy might get in the way but would it actually? And maybe that is sexist anyway?

Poor Debbie Reynolds. A parent should never have to outlive their children.

Carrie was really funny and witty.

So Touch is a certified hit already and that's without the music video and just one tv performance. Can you say smash hit?

I read that it was #6 on Spotify yesterday and is so close to the Top 3. It's also #19 on the YouTube Daily Track Chart and again, without a music video lol!

ITunes is looking good again (Louisa and Zara only overtook because their songs are discounted plus the gift card effect). It's got a dark green update at #9 and should stay in the Top 10 during this weird time on the charts.

Touch now at #7 and SOTME at #8

I am so shocked Glory Days has held firm at 3 for ages now given the news of George Michael.

4 I Would Like by Zara Larsson 221,689i
5 Sexual by NEIKED 219,295
6 Touch by Little Mix 215,453

I think Zara may beat out Touch this week because she's been ahead on iTunes and streaming.

SOTMX is #186 in the US with some George Michael tracks falling.
Edit: it just leaped

Being a celebrity can be scary and ironically, lonely a life.
You just try to please everyone, especially in this day and age, not being able to live a normal life.
You then end up abusing all sort of things (medication, sex, drugs) then it catches up with you...

I do feel guilty as a fan or someone who follows an artist.
When I see the upcoming hectic schedule the girls have planned for 2017, it scares me off for them. How do they cope?

Sad indeed.

Wow! And there's still 19 Wham and George Michael tracks ahead of it.

I'm re reading the runup to Salute from June 2014 because I still think SOTMX will outperform people's expectations like Salute did. Also our observations about LM then are interesting in hindsight.

12 hours ago it was #198.

We should have a way to track if it was played yesterday. At least we've got HP which has been fond of the girls and been giving us good updates.

I would suggest LM cut out matinees to begin with. Don't play twice in one day..

I'm beginning to think LM are going to be quite big.

Little Mix have the best selling girl group album of 2016 with "Glory Days"!

Glory Days is the fourth studio album by British girl group Little Mix, released on 18 November 2016, by Syco Music and Columbia Records. It became Little Mix's first UK number 1 album and its 90,000 sales in its first week in the UK made it the fastest-selling album since David Bowie's Blackstar, released over 10 months earlier! This record was later broken by the Rolling Stones two weeks after the albums release. The album also reached number 1 in Ireland and debuted at number 2 in Australia, and in the top 10 in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain. It has sold over 460,000 units as of this week!
