To show how irrelevant iTunes is becoming now in some cases, look at how low some songs on radio are. #1164? Really? Every little bit helps of course but what a difference to the UK.

#139 now.

Metacritic is taking an awfully long time to put up a score for Glory Days...

SOTME is available to buy individually from the standard and deluxe versions of the albums so looks like it's being cherry picked off of both and charting twice.

My "oh" was realizing people were checking out the album! Outside of the fan buys it hadnt been around much.

I've been monitoring US iTunes for a while and only SOTMX was showing so this is great.

#121 now! Insane!

vv Great minds etc. vv

Weird oddball thought: I dont care if Ariana is a secret feature but I would dearly love to hear her and LM sing Bang Bang together. People thought it sounded like a LM track anyway.

Wow, I didn't want to jinx anything but seems like this might actually be taking off in the US! Here's hoping it shows back up on streaming.

Nice to see Touch rising in the UK too, though they're going to have a lot of work to pull back Rockabye.

Vaguely on-topic: for some reason James Arthur's track was (finally) clicking with me yesterday, so I checked out the album again, and it's not bad but it's so samey. Looks like his second single will struggle for traction. I'm glad LM have got a variety of tracks on GD.

Touch is #4 on Spotify! I don't understand the love for the James Arthur song tbh, though I respect his impressive comeback.

Some poeple saying it could be the gift card effect... What do y'all think? I think this started a bit late for it to be due to the gift cards...

The BBC has picked up on the Twitter campaign for LM to send a message to a fan with leukemia. Their camp should probably hop on this one.

It was actually at #110 a few minutes ago, maybe it dropped a bit.

edit: it was a glitch, #109 no

Don't wanna bring anyone down but it seems like the 1D and 5H situations have opened up new territories. Can't complain though...

It's probably true that some kids who would have gotten 1D tickets for Christmas a couple years ago got LM tickets this year, but I'd rather not think of pop groups as a zero sum game. Hopefully there will be room for 2 or 3 in the future, because they're rather entertaining to follow online....

I do wonder if the 5H saga is helping them get a little attention in the US. I mean, none of us can figure out why the track has been shooting up over the last couple of days. No major articles - Buzzfeed hasn't done anything noticeable in the past - and it's awfully late for a gift card effect. Could be radio, but it's moving remarkably fast and consistently. I just checked Youtube comments and nobody is saying "x brought me here" either. Hmm.

It's also true that they're just smashing harder over time though, I mean SOTME > Black Magic on pretty much every metric if you compare trajectories, and Touch is their first post-album track to go top 10.
