I was wondering why this was popping up on Twitter all of a sudden. LM's team just uploaded the Capital JBB live version onto the LittleMixVevo YT channel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI8X65rMYb0&t=1s

Capital's upload has just under 4 million views. 3,972,140 views

I wish they would upload an acoustic performance again or the SLS one, something that focuses more on their vocals. They shouldn't have uploaded the Hair performance because it looks like they were miming the whole song.

In other news, Get Weird is now certified GOLD in Australia!

I'm thinking these recent uploads of SOTMX live performances onto the LM channel are in aid of their reintroduction to the US. People discovering them will be finding good examples of how they do on the big stage. If these get more into them they can hunt up the quieter acostics but I think the splashier first impressions are good initially. I bet either the MTV or the Paper acoustics get added once their respective sites get the initial first run of site hits.

I know the hardcore fans think the song is "over" but they've been following the group daily. Just tonight I read a tweet from a guy in Pennsylvania who said he didnt know how long the song had been out but he just found it and now he's "obsessed", his word. Thats the same response Nissl noted from listeners back in Oct. when it first came out.

I'm so over SOTME. Hopefully it won't be the only song from Glory Days they'll perform on big shows in the US.

Just checked Kworb and Ed's lead on Itunes is INSANE He really is the male Adele.
His two songs are disappointing though

Castle on the Hill is reasonable. The other one is poor.
There is clearly an audience that Ed and Adele reach that Little Mix don't at the moment.

Touch still 2 but daily streams down slightly 271,815, the gap to CB has closed yet again though.

I found them both decent but a bit underwhelming for lead singles. Woke up with Zara's song stuck in my head this morning instead, and have a hard time remembering either track's name. SoY is punchier but a little derivative and uninteresting lyrically, CotH has good lyrics but feels a bit too long and lacks impact. (In particular that growling vocal on the chorus does nothing... very disconnected imo.)

They're good enough to be monthlong chart toppers since they're going to be hammered into the dirt by radio but I suspect he might struggle if he debuted with them.

I don't see why Touch or NMSS wouldn't appeal to the same audience as SoY.

5H re-signed with Epic and will be releasing another album. Plenty of tidbits about Cowell's contracts in there... 7 years? I wonder how much merch and touring he takes, and whether LM have renegotiated their contracts like 5H already. I suspect they may have because I don't sense a lot of tension there, really....

I dont know about the 7 years, but according to The Sun it sounds like LM already fulfilled their original contract with Glory Days.

“It proves that Epic/Syco is really believing in the brand, and they don't give a shit if it's Fourth or Fifth Harmony. They’re going to find amazing songs and make a go of it
This shows where SC's main interest still lies...

Maybe the contracts changed later? Or the 7 years could be the average time it takes an artist to put out 4 albums.

Touch is at #9 and SOTME at #12 in Ireland too.

Nissl, et al, I wonder if the 7 years bit is just the maximum Syco can keep their artists bound under what's known as the "De Havilland Law" in California.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Law

It was named after actress Olivia de Havilland when she took on her studio because they were delaying her with extensions from the termination of her contract. Its used in the entertainment industry. Artists sometimes sit out the 7 years to fulfill it.

The De Havilland Law is the informal name of California Labor Code Section 2855, a California law which prevents a court from enforcing specific performance of an exclusive personal services contract (i.e. contracts creating a non-delegable duty on the part of an individual to another party, and no other, to render certain services) beyond the term of seven calendar years from the commencement of service.

I think in most entertainer's cases its fulfill the quantity of albums/films or the time period, whichever comes first.

I don't know where the 7 years came from. Camilla's exit on December 19, 2016 was 4 years from the announcement that SYCO/Epic were signing the 3rd place finishers Fifth Harmony. Their season of XF US ended right around then.

ETA: Maybe the 5H contracts had to be shorter because the members were minors?

Noooo, this sucks

Victoria Monet has already started rehearsing for the tour. Meanwhile, LM are still on holidays. Do they have another week off?

Little Mix’s Glory Days continue as the group’s latest collection keeps its place at Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart.

The album – the quartet’s fourth – logs a fourth week at the summit. The last girl group album to notch up as many weeks at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart was Destiny’s Child, who managed four weeks at the top in 2001/2002 with Survivor.

Glory Days was one of the ten biggest albums of 2016 – check out the full Top 40 here. To date, its combined sales stand at 434,000.

And to think some (not me) thought GD wouldn't get to No 1, and here we are four weeks is just incredible.

Still no news on the video, do we think it was planned for today but changed due to Ed Sheeran's releases, or it was never planned for today anyway?
