Aw, what happened to the view count? Anyway while it was reset and actually showing realtime views I calculated the current rate. Looks like around 4.6m/day. Pretty great.

Would you agree the song has actually become "viral"? Looking at the huge jumps in streaming and the video view count I would think so.

Thats a massive rise in just one day.
The best part if they come back to the US at this stage is, instead of saying "Here's our only song" now they can say "by the way we have this whole back catalog of songs you may like".

From watching Twitter today I would say it's not a classic viral phenomenon where there's a central idea that the web has latched onto and is passing around. It seems to simply have an extremely high obsession -> conversion rate.

Yep, better than Radio 1 these days, reaches an older audience as well. Live Lounge is about all that's worth listening to on Radio 1.
