now that the whole buzz is gone I'm not sure if I love this as much as I thought I did, I might have overplayed it tonight so I'll have to wait a bit

don't see the longevity BM had
Maybe this thought will help you Felpcalibas:

When LM finally run out their contract with Syco, they can reissue Shout Out To My Ex with a Simon Cowell remix.

I know i'm moving fast here but when do you think we will get the first album track "promo" release? I mean the album is only a month away and this has JUST come out but do you think they will release any promo tracks? Spotify exclusive, apple music exclusive maybe?

I'm curious for the rest of Glory Days now i've heard this after them saying this track isn't a complete indication on the direction of the album.....

I gotta admit, I'm flabbergasted. Nothing but gossip promo for this in the US and its a Sunday night.

Just listening to the single version for the first time on spotify. This will be their biggest single to date! Such a banger!

Btw their hasn't been a solo female artist at #1 in the UK singles chart in 2016. (all been features kyla, halsey) I fancy Little Mix to be the first if they get good streaming which I think this song could very well get!

Great release strategy. Surprised at the #18 peak on US iTunes but I'll take it and run!

You know it's 2016 when I see the GRL comparisons and simply think "great! more promo!" As for GRL this is a chance for the remaining members to get a little buzz and I can't begrudge them taking the opportunity, that last awful tweet aside. Odd to think LM are now big enough for other artists to glom onto.

The chorus is really very close, I was out walking and it was stuck in my head and my brain naturally substituted the lyrics when it got to the chorus. I'm curious to see if there will be a lawsuit but hey, that would just be even more promo. Dr. Luke is, or was, under the same label umbrella, is trying to keep a low profile, and is quite a thief himself.

Here's a screengrab of Kworb for the US, read it and rejoice!

I'm shamefully hoping these controversies will generate curiosity streams.

Also I was hoping for the video but maybe they were right to hold it back. They can release it next week when they have the other performances and might be in position to try for #1 in the UK. In the meanwhile it's probably helping the track on iTunes.

I love this song! My only critism is the chorus and bridge sounds almost identical to GRL - Ugly Heart

yep I was thinking about it, I don't think it stands a chance there tbh, but on the comparisons, no one outside of the UK/Australia/Pop Forums knows GRL.

Now #17 on iTunes. Just popped over to Twitter and it's still trending at #3 even though the UK has gone to bed. Impressive.

The more I listen to it, the less I hear the comparison TBH. The whole "4 chords" thing proves that most songs are basically the same anyway. Controversy? Bring it on. Blurred Lines was seeped in it and it sold 14 million copies.

I think that the hashtag being that sort of hashtag that people will use without knowing what's about is helping.

At the end of the day, controversy wont make people BUY something. So in the US, either the fanbase is back in a big way (yay) OR people are genuinely digging this song. Good news either way.

it reminds me of when people compared born this way to express yourself. i don't think it'll have any effect in the long run as long as the song is good.

i'm really impressed by the reaction. i've never seen them trend this long on twitter

If the girls could get some really well timed promo in the US in the next month, it would really help. It would be a long shot but the best slot would probably be SNL the weekend after the election. Though ANY SNL would be amazing TBH.
