They cant just show up. The show has to want them on.

And this too. I hadnt really heard of the EMAs before following LM.

Why wouldn't the show want them to be there? They won an award last year. I'm sure they could at least let them present an award.

Anyway, does anyone know who's performing at the ARIA awards on November 23rd? Ed Sheeran was the international artist who performed there last year.

I just realized something. The OCC said SOTME got 5.03 million streams for the 50,000 chart points. Spotify would only have been 3.4 million of those. Where did the extra 1.5 million come from? I thought Spotify was most of the market. Also that is a ton of streams! The chart rules say it has to be averaged with all the album tracks but its going to make a huge impact on the album streaming sales.

Apple Music is probably the second biggest

I have to admit that the EMAs and Eurovision are the only European music shows I'm aware of (I live in the UK), but I never understood why the EMAs were so US focussed.

Is there a European music show that actually celebrates music from European acts?

I'm rinsing YGN it's fun and very catchy, still very excited for album but I'm going to need more than just fun tracks though.

I'm praying for Touch to come through and serve, not only because it's from MNEK or potentially the second single but as the second song on the album, the girls have always done a great job at giving us a 1-2 knock out with each album.

If it had been Salute-Move, but we got Move-Little Me.

Yeah, for some reason I thought they were miniscule in comparison to Spotify. Maybe Apple Music has grown.

Yeah, Apple Music has grown. Something like 16m subscribers to Spotify's 40m, though Spotify is still growing faster. That would line up with those figures pretty nicely.

Edit: by the way, I've been seeing a few radio plays in African countries like Kenya, Nigeria, and Malawi in the last 48h. 6-continent mix.

No I'm strictly talking about their album sequencing of tracks 1-2 their track 2's are usually just as good if not better than track 1

We must get the Emperor Penguin demographic on board.

This is why I still think Elvis is a challenger to LM, because this is what happened last year:

Elvis Presley & The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's If I Can Dream racks up its fifth straight week in the top three, holding at number two on sales of 96,152 copies

Only beaten by Adele's debut.

Thats why I dont get the online freakout over the Trainor track. Its placed in album trackland.

Fun video! I think I know exactly where it was shot. I'm noticing lots of high replay comments on it as well.

He's getting an album boost this week.

Otherwise nice to see the song is stable or gaining. A new Global peak by 10k which I'm assuming means its less reliant on the UK streams.

Just weeks ago we were wringing our hands over their streaming history and now look.

Feels like they are going to sit around this level on streaming with continued slow declines on iTunes unless/until they get a US radio push.

Thats actually decent though. I just looked at Kworb's radio update and acts just starting out in the Top 50 of US radio are sitting in the 300-600s on iTunes, and I bet their streaming is nowhere close to SOTME. If its going on radio and I think it is shortly its in a really strong place.

True. Keep in mind most of those 300-600 range tracks aren't going to go anywhere. It would be nice to be in a considerably stronger position.

Well, at the moment the iTunes position is equivalent to songs in the #25-#35 range on radio, so its already in a stronger position.

Proof that a label can react to whats going on: apparently Gaga 's team is yanking the planned A YO release for Million Reasons based on real response.
