Two amusing things about today's show:
1. Lovejoy is so dim witted that he was literally the only person involved in producing the show or watching it who wasn't thinking "Bradley Walsh would make a much better presenter - he's far more intelligent and witty than c()ck Lovejoy". 2. Even when Bradley's erratic behaviour meant he was actually being a total knob, he was still only the second biggest knob on the show. Lovejoy was outclassed into silence but still looked like an imbecile. |

I wonder if Simon Rimmer was in a pub with Bradley Walsh this evening planning how to bin Lovejoy. Shouldn't be difficult to outflank the dimwit.

So this week they subbed Lovejoy the Twonk and replaced him with Jason Byrne.
Now Jason was certainly imbecilic and generally unfunny. It may even be that they were trying to test whether anyone could be as moronic as Lovejoy. Jason tried hard to achieve this. However, even though he was largely irritating and unwatchable, and you often felt like slapping him round the face, I would still only score him a 7 on the Lovejoy Cretinosity Index (Lovejoy never scores below a 9.8 on this scale). So I think we may find that Lovejoy's 'bad back' becomes permanent once they have found his replacement. Shame for him really as you can't imagine he is any good at anything else either. |
