Well done this week Karren:
Sour faces pulled: 5 Snidey sarcastic remarks, adding no value: 7 Stating the obvious that a 10 year old would spot: 3 Incisive and invaluable analysis using 30 years of business experience: 0 |

The best though was the older woman. She cut straight through a lot of their garbage (and wow do some of them spout some garbage about their abilities - ego and ability never seems to run on parallel lines). I have a vague memory of her retiring after one of the series but, as I say, I very rarely watch. She was the best though.
I don't mind Karren. I think she had her best series two years ago where she was sarcastically funny. Quote:
I am surprised she was quite supportive to Jessica even though she was like a MESS in that Jeans task. |

I liked Margaret but she said even less than Karren during the weekly tasks. Would people prefer Karren not to talk at all instead of contributing acid-laced jibes?
I don't mind Karren. I think she had her best series two years ago where she was sarcastically funny. After last night, I feel her "take a breath" comments to Jessica are going to become a regular 'feature' (yawn!)

My fave clip of her was when she was on a coach trip, and the apprentices were trying to start a sing song - by singing "The Wheels on the Bus". Karren was eyeing the emergency escape with a look of utter desperation, it was hilarious.

![]() I havent noticed many people say they don't like her because she's a woman, more because of her personality traits. Hardly sexism run rampant. |

The only thing that gets me with her is this women in business that she spouts.
In other words there are rules and criteria she applies to women on the show where no such criteria exist for men |

You would prefer no critique of La Karren just because she is a woman (the usual defence these wimmin put up)? The summary at the top of her Wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karren_Brady basically says she has worked for a couple of porno kings from the age of 23.
There are no threads slagging Alan Sugar off and there are no threads slagging Claude off either. There were no threads slagging off Nick and Margaret. This criticism of Karren must stem from a personal dislike. Fine. People do dislike others but there's no reason to criticise Karren on The Apprentice. It would be a far duller prog without her comments. And the topic of not criticising Karren has absolutely nothing to do with her being a woman. Above all else, she is a just person doing a good job. Gender doesn't come into it. |

Karren's fatuous and snide remarks do not constitute doing a good job.

A critique of anyone is perfectly acceptable as long as it's justified. Karren is just doing her job. So there's nothing to criticise her for. Alan Sugar goes much further with his comments and criticisms. He is very blunt and rude to the candidates.

She tends to seem annoyed that candidates are not as good as they profess to be, but the show hasn't had real talents for a few series now so her expectations are being wasted to some degree. She was young and was quite high up very young, so she does have this streak of superiority over those that are older yet haven't achieved her success (in whatever terms she measures it) at the same rate. While I can see the candidates can seem very frustrating to her with the bravado but lack of results for all their promises of success they display, she could perhaps be more helpful and timely with her criticism. I do prefer Margaret, she was intelligent but mainly nicer in her approach, and firm and revealing if need be. She didn't chip in for the sake of being heard. I pref her over Nick too, but don't really have a pref over Nick or Claude.

Your link does not say Karren worked in soft (or any other sort of) porn. It does say that her big break came from daddy's contact book but she's come an awfully long way since then. Mainly (but not only) she's run two football clubs: Birmingham City and West Ham United.

I wonder how long the 'Concerned Cuppa at the Greasy spoon' takes to film.
