Vodafone used to be really good here, but in the last 4 months or so they have gone downhill, in fact I think it started before then.
People have complained but Vodafone still seems to be not bothering to sort it out.
I am not that bothered about data, my main concern is voice, so people can get hold of me if they need to, like if my Dad is ill.
I have more or less be with vodafone since I got my first mobile phone many many years ago, I did change to BT a few years back when they had that Broadband anywhere package. but went back to Vodafone after the two year contract was up.
I have tried over networks, by getting a sim and using it on a PAYG basis for a month, but vodafone always seemed to be the nest around here until now.
My mobile phone sim only contract comes to the end next month, so I will be looking around and make a list of ones to look closer at, I do not think sky will be in that list even if they have it up and running by then.
i expect they will want people to enter into a contract and to be honest, there are plenty of services that do not have a contract and is seems to be better value than contracts.
giffgaff for instance gives better value that what I am paying now.
I pay £14 a month for 600minutes, which I hardly use, 1GB of data and unlimited text, giffgaff I can get 1GB of data, 500 minutes of voice and unlimited text for a tenner and no contract.
I could even cope with the £7.50 package to be honest, I would have to download my spotify music to the phone from home, that offers 500MB of data, 250 mins of calls and unlimited text.
the other thing that is annoying me about vodafone is their silly two form factor system to sign into their website, no choice on the matter, you will use it.
