Sunday was a revelation for me, couldn't believe Anton's opening moves on the Sunday show. He is far more versatile physically and dance wise than I had assumed. Great routine all round. I really look forward to the pro dances.

It was a hide-behind-the-sofa sort of surprise.

He hasn't reached the stage yet where such things are more like "dad dancing."
But I don't think he's far to go. He's looking more like a "dad," every year.

If by surprised you mean "embarrassed" yes, I was.

It looked pretty close to Morris dancing at one point.

I was looking for the wires, I must admit.

Thought it was great. I actually wondered at one point if they'd shot the whole thing backwards, the move at the start surprised me to such an extent.
You won't get many positive comments on this forum about Anton on this forum however. Sad but true.

If you found it hard to watch it's only because you know it's beneath him...

No I wasn't surprised because I knew he can do all sorts, the "I only do ballroom" is a Strictly pose. He manages a classy club that does workshops in funky stuff, he is extremely good at it. He was great on the Results show and I'm not an Anton fan. Credit where credit is due.

I thought it was fab and have been trying to find it on Youtube, no luck so far though.

So did I. I was completely gobsmacked - in a good way.

Perhaps he's been copping a load of whatever Lesley's on (and whatever that is, I want some)

You forgot the Grand in front of the Dad there. actually I was surprised and thought he was quite good.

To change the subject a bit Lesley is practically old enough to be Claudia, A J or Chloe's Great Grandmother.

I've always liked Anton, I love the variety of styles, ages and experience of the different pros and I have been enjoying his partnership with Lesley this year. He was great in the pro dance on Sunday

Not surprised as I'm sure he can dance this way if he wanted. I was delighted to see him included, see him in the centre and enjoying himself. Perhaps he is surrendering to the changes at Strictly -? I hope so and he's serving Lesley well at the moment.

Sometimes the pro dances only get posted on the strictly page.

Last year the chess dance didn't make it to YouTube.

Thanks I wonder when they put that up. I looked for weeks after the show (saw it live 3 times) and then someone found it for me on the strictly page.

I saw it at the time and I've watched it several times since, so I knew it had been put on by the BBC. Came up with "Chess Dance Strictly." Shame about Ola, I think she was a loss to the show.

Loved it, one of my favourite Pro dances.
It answers a DSers question as to why Anton is still in the show. I thought the whole group of them were fabulous it was so fast and athletic.
Great job by everybody.

I thought Anton shone in this and good for him. He seems to be having a great series and I think he's enjoying dancing with Lesley more than his other partners. There's no pressure for them to do well every week like there was with Katie and rather than have Lesley as comedy act, they're producing some rather surprising numbers each week.
