I was surprised and thought it was great fun seeing Anton do something completely different. I thought he quite good.

I was surprised too.

I find him fairly irritating as a rule, but fair play to him, that was good stuff for a man of his age.

I met Anton a few weeks ago and he is absolutely LOVELY. Even though he was about to go on stage, he took the time to have a few photos with me. And he looks fantastic for his age, let alone how athletic he is. Love Anton, I do.

The fact that this is even a surprise for a lot of people is sad in itself because it shouldn't be ; Just got to show how he pales in comparison to other dancers. I've a love and hate relationship with him still being on this show.

I wasnt surprised - he is a brilliant dancer and doesnt deserve any of the rubbish that gets spouted about him on here.
He was fabulous in that dance - and I'm so pleased he got the opportunity to show what he can do.

Agree with all of that, nice to see some positive comments in this thread, albeit it reluctantly in some cases.
I keep going back to watch it again, because although Anton was brilliant, I love everyone's input - great routine.

While watching it, I was getting a vibe - like Anton was channelling Andrew Neil.

I did as well, just goes to show (I reckon)!... its all about the dancing partner! I think Lesley is so full of fun and energetic that it has rubbed off on Anton.. it's 'up yours' to all the nasty people that say he cannot do Latin!.... I think he has the full range of dance and it just needs a decent partner to get him to show it off!.....

yes! I was VERY surprised, but i have been the same with Leslie each week.

I was watching back to back episodes of Widdy & Anton and suprised at the number of dances they did. How Anton didn't do his back serious damage, I don't know.
I have always considered Quentin Willson to be the worst ever dancer on SCD, but I have to demote him to 2nd worst - Widdy was definitely the worst, not only in terms of lack of dancing ability, but also in probably being the most uncooperative! Anton must have the patience of a saint.
