Probably the Driscoll's have her captive to work in their sweat shop. Its time for another visit to their house and check any padlocked doors, or find the Polish girl and see if she has any info. Where they keep them shackled etc. I don't know how it's all going to shake down but I hope Vicar Billy is involved, he has a nose, or neb if you prefer, for misery and at the moment there's not enough to keep us happy.

So all of this is probably what leads to Aidan and Maria getting closer.

After the scene with Audrey last night I'm now closer to understanding why Caz starts to turn against Maria!!
If she thinks Maria has completely turned against her & is getting other people to pressure her into leaving then I guess it seems plain to her that her 'free ride' with Maria is now well & truly over & it probably comes as a kick in the teeth to her given that Maria has been nothing but kind to her up until now, but has now turned on her like everyone else!!
I still want to know what the result was of Caz phoning the Home Office as that has never been mentioned again so far & it was now 3 weeks ago!!

Looking forward to the next two weeks of Corrie with Caz cranking up her revenge campaign agaibst Maria next week, then Maria herself returning a week on monday!! Can't wait!!

Oh yeah I haven't saw the film but I loved the book.
Don't much like Caz but can't wait to see how the storyline pans out.

I wondered about that as well. She also tried to get (I think it was) Pablo's address from Audrey so she could send a Thank You card to Maria. Don't think she was ever given it so maybe that's why she couldn't do anything further with her call to the Home Office

Will Maria get a chance to be a proper Mrs Connor this time. Aiden will obviously track down Caz. Poor Eva.

I'm the opposite I've seen the film but not read the book. Me too sounds like it's going to be a really interesting storyline

I think t was to spill the beans that Maria's marriage to the gay bloke was a sham

That's what I think and she couldn't as she didn't have the address. Seems a little pointless showing it since she couldn't do it but I guess (hope) they've got their reasons. Same with the credit card, it will all come to light Then again, who knows

I much prefer reading but this is one I do fancy seeing the film of, might get round to it one day.

I wish Caz was more believable though and not such a plank

Yeah i agree the actress who plays Caz isn't the strongest actor which sometimes makes her scenes not believeable. I hope she steps it up for this part of the storyline!

I can't believe how long Maria's been gone for (I thought she said it was a couple of days) but it's been two weeks or so already. Was having to traipse down to London for so long part of the 'deal' when she agreed to marry Pablo? Nice to have a job where you can just disappear for a few weeks with no notice. Not sure who's helping Audrey in the salon at the moment as David hasn't been in there much either (if at all) and he's not likely to be back for a while now!

She's not the best but somehow I think it fits in with the kind of weird random nature of Caz as a character!! She comes across as awkward & uncomfortable and for me it has actually started to work as part of the character (not explained very well but hopefully you get my meaning!! )
I have certainly found her far more believable with Samia/Maria than ever I did with Faye Brooks/Kate & Brooke Vincent/Sophie!!

This is a part of the story I have found puzzling too!!
Surely if she was expecting to be gone over 4 weeks, which is what it will be by the time she returns, she wouldn't have left Liam behind & there was that scene with Audrey & Gail where Audrey said Maria had gone to help out a friend at her salon in London or something?? Were we meant to believe Maria had lied to Audrey or that Audrey knew where she'd gone but didn't want to tell Gail? Maria's long absence (obviously tying in filming wise with Samia's wedding & honeymoon) really hasn't been properly explained onscreen at all!!

Wasn't it said that either her fake husband or his boyfriend owned salons and that's how they had met cos she had worked whilst in Spain caring for her mum. They wanted to come back to the uk but the boyfriend couldn't due to visa issues so they had the marriage

But it was meant to be for a few days and she has left Liam without a second thought!

I know it was said that Pablo was always in the salon Maria was working part time in whilst in Cyprus, don't think it was ever specified he was the owner!! The b/f as I remember was already a UK resident & it was Pablo who wanted to join him , hence the 'need' for Maria to marry him to 'piggyback' him through immigration & gain him British citizenship!!
The need for Maria to visit London was given that his 6 month visa was nearly up & 'his solicitor needs to see us together' if I recall & it was kind of specified that it would only be for a few days!!
I thought that it would be Caz's phone call to Home Office that meant Maria being detained a lot longer than that (hence the time period Samia was away from filming) but it just hasn't been mentioned or explained properly & at the moment that phone call seems like a pointless red herring!!
I still hope all will become clear as the story unfolds!!

In which case, she'd have been desperate to get word to Kirk or Audrey to look after Liam (or whoever has him at the moment).

Yes I agree with you!! The whole thing has been unsatisfactorily ignored for three weeks while the Platt drama took centre stage!!
You would have thought even just one scene of Kirk explaining to Audrey what was going on would have been shown, or at least him taking Liam to London to see his Mum or somerhing!!

Yeh, I think Corrie has a "conveyor belt" of storylines which sometimes have a pause while other stories start or are resumed. Audrey's eviction of Caz was just an isolated scene in the pub, not followed up at the time and easily forgotten as a result of the ramifications of David's crash.

David's crash will be forgotten by tomorrow and maybe it will continue with Maria's pitfalls. If Caz did report Maria and the convenience of the wedding she's in for a rough ride and a longer hiatus. When homeland security knock on her door she will have the pleasure of participating in her first rodeo. Knowing her gentle nature I doubt if she'll be able to hang on for the required 8.7 seconds.

Samia's take on the s/l!! Explains how Aidan becomes more involved with Maria, sounds like he's going to be one of the few people who believes & supports her!!

""You get the occasional person who I think forgets it's not real and then the biggest reaction, somebody called me a b**** the other day, just shouted out at me in a shopping centre.

"There was a group of literally six grannies and they all just booed me as I walked past."

I'm really looking forward to this storyline.
