What I don't get in this storyline is why Kate is going to be worried that Maria has killed Caz and trys to get her arrested when a few weeks ago she fell out with Maria and Sophie because they stopped her from leaving.

Quite new to DS so i didn't know how to put it in spoilers tags but yes Kate ends up getting the police involved and Aidan falls out with her because he wants to protect Maria .

From looking at next week's episodes descriptions I believe the following happens
- Caz phones Kate saying that Maria is attacking her
- Marias flat is found in a mess with blood stains
- later one of Maria's rug covered in blood is found in one of the bins
It actually makes a nice change for a character to actually do the sensible thing & call the police instead of getting involved in some big cover up.
While Kate knows that Caz is a liar I don't think anyone would automatically believe she would go to such extremes (even though she does) over being knocked back by Maria.

I completely agree NDD, fickle is exactly the right word for Kate. She used her fake outrage at Caz and her 'injury' as an excuse to get out of her relationship cos Sophie caught her eye, imo. She treated Caz like dirt, completely over-reacted and accused Maria of betraying her just because Maria was nice enough to put her up. And now we're expected to believe that she's falling for all this on the basis of one phone call? She's not very astute is she? If it comes down to either Caz is a manipulative liar OR Maria is a cold-blooded murderer then she's venue more stupid than she looks believing the latter.

The only time I liked Kate so far was when her & Maria were pals going to the gym etc, which in itself I think was just a ploy to make Caz appear jealous, but Maria has always been quite a forgiving soul & I hope that Kate does apologise & they revisit that friendship at some point!!
What I really hope is that the writers have put in some sort of twist that explains exactly why she suddeny changes her opinion of Caz into being the victim & Maria her potential murderer!!

This is being really well written with Maria & Aidan because, although he has been furiously denying that the night with Maria was anything more than a meaningless one night stand, the fact that he seems like he's going to be the one person totally on her side (apart from the lovely & ever loyal Kirk) proves that a definite connection was made between the two of them that night, which was absolutely evident by their onscreen chemistry!! They looked far better suited than Aidan/Eva or Maria/Luke just in those few short scenes together!!

Eva and Luke would be well suited. Eva is needy and Luke is like a lapdog. Eva and Steph would get on well too.
