I agree completely. Aidan and Maria have great onscreen chemistry and it's natural not forced. I also like how they've built up a rapport with Aidan and Liam.

I'm another one who thinks Aidan and Maria have great chemistry together.

I'll give it three weeks until 'guilt-ridden' Aidan gives into temptation and sleeps with Maria. She didn't move in just because of the police investigation, or rather him inviting her (Kirk would've happily let her stay).........

Eva sorely needs some purpose and direction. Been lacking since she dumped Jason.

This storyline is beyond ridiculous even by Corrie standards. I wanted to slap Maria yesterday when she was moaning to everyone about her flat being trashed. Just bloody tidy it up woman and stop whining. I'd be more concerned about going to jail for marrying the illegal gay man, rather than moaning about a bit of upturned furniture.

Well Eva and Aidan isn't exactly everyone. Bearing in mind this is the second time in as many months she's come home to her flat been trashed I think she had the right to moan. This time however is was a bit more than her flashed being trashed especially with blood on the wall.

The only thing ridiculous of what we've seen so far is Kate's sudden U turn from making Caz out to be the devil incarnate to suddenly thinking Maria's capable of harming her!!
To be fair I think Maria's reaction was reasonable enough in the circumstances & she is worrying about her illegal marriage which is why she was talking to Aidan & Eva, not the police!!!

The question that I have about this story.

Does anyone think that id Brooke Vincent had not taken her theatre break that Sophie would have been in Maria's place in this story?

Hadn't thought about it!! Perhaps I suppose, in which case I'm glad she did take her break!! Samia's a far better actress to take it on than Brooke imo!!

No I don't think this storyline was meant for Sophie since it has been mentioned for ages that Maria will be having big storylines since her return earlier in the year.

I do think Sophie will be featured a lot when she returns in the new year with rosies return and the expected Kate romance finally happening after the Caz storyline is done.

The problem for me is that they completely screwed up the reveal.

On Monday they have Maria return to the street the next scene we have with is her finding the flat trashed & she then calls Kirk to come around.

If they had cut out the scene of her finding the flat trashed then it would have worked so much better.

- Maria returns
- Kirk gets a call from Maria
- Kirk & Aidan come around & find the flat trashed.

This way there would have been a slight element of doubt about events in the viewers minds.

It didn't help that we kept seeing Caz twirling her moustache in her scenes with Tyrone & Kate

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but I'm sure the fact that the police will be able to liaise with mobile phone networks and get a location from where the texts apparently sent by Maria were sent will be ignored while we have this farce going on?

Aww aint it cute how Kate has suddenly realised how much Caz means to her and is spearheading this campaign for justice against Maria. Ugh. Groan

As i said earlier, this is beyond stupid. I would actually rather watch the Nazirs than this ridiculous storyline. It wold help if Maria could act too!

Maria is a hairdresser not an actor. Samia Ghadie is a great actress.
