I don't think she can act either. Nor does 3 other family members
LOL oh well you're entitled to your opinions but in mine Samia is a good actress, hardly Oscar worthy but she's more than capable of making Maria a believable character.

I was only young when Tony Gordon was in it, but even I remember Samia being fantastic in that storyline. She needs a meaty storyline and I have faith she'll deliver.

This storyline is beyond ridiculous even by Corrie standards. I wanted to slap Maria yesterday when she was moaning to everyone about her flat being trashed. Just bloody tidy it up woman and stop whining. I'd be more concerned about going to jail for marrying the illegal gay man, rather than moaning about a bit of upturned furniture.
I think she was perfectly reasonable in the way she reacted. I'd be annoyed as well if I let someone stay in my flat and they messed it up like that. She had just returned from London and wanted Liam back, I don't think it was OTT at all.

While I do think some of the aspects of the story are a little far- fetched, I am enjoying it and I think Samia is a really decent actress. I can't understand the negativity against her on here, but each to their own.

I agree and also you have to consider that if Maria had, had a hard time in London, travelled home and got back to see that crap in her flat, she was probably on her last nerve and looking for someone to vent at.

Loved the Maria scenes tonight. Caz really done a number on Maria....if only Aidan looked up at the end of the episode tonight.

To digress for a moment, there was a bizarre storyline in Hollyoaks where Grace wanted Freddie arrested for the murder of Mercedes while Mercedes spent some time away in France. Trevor came out with a priceless line to Grace "If you want to set someone up for murder, you might like to make sure there is a corpse first". Maybe the police would like to follow this advice before suspecting Maria of murdering Caz?

I wish Maria had just given that 'officer' a great big slap. How inept are the Weatherfield Police?

The cops are ridiculous. That one who was questioning David that time and bordering on the hysterical needed a slap to calm her down.

They need to build up evidence against Maria, they need proof she bought the phone, where is the footage from the cameras in the shop she bought it from?

What about cash macjine withdrawals, don't they all have cameras on them?

What about train and subway cameras?

I suppose they are just hoping that Maria confesses so they don't have to do any real leg work.

Why haven't they been to the barracks and spoken to the officials there? They need a background on the "victim" as well as the "offender" thick cops

There are so many holes in the case its ludicrous, they were very quick to look into Maria's distant past with Tyrone, yet they don't seem to have looked into Caz's recent history with faking an injury and obsessive behaviour

The soaps are ridiculous at portraying realistic cops. The police must hate watching!

Thing is though has anyone actually pointed out about Caz's past to them yet!

The Weathy plod are such a lazy bunch they need spoon feeding facts or they just take the easy route!!
Fiz 'with friends like that who needs enemies' has been quick to dish all the dirt on Maria, but where's Sophie when you need her to do the same number on Caz??

I couldn't work out if Caz was sending the texts (purportedly from Maria) whilst she [Caz] was in London and if she'd left her own phone in Weatherfield. Otherwise, that should catch her out.

Or maybe she bought her train tickets with the credit card she stole from Maria's flat? That might catch her out as well but I accept she may have bought them online. It didn't sound like she'd have used cash as the only withdrawals were in London and it's not as though Caz has any cash of her own.

The one time she should be sticking her oar in and she's nowhere to be found, typical .

Weatherfield's two most interfering young bints up gainst each other!!

On Maria's side we have Sophie!!
On Caz's side we have Fiz!!

But which one is best?
There's only one way to find out....

Ha, sorry Craig. I just had seen someone write their own opinion saying us who don't think she's a terrific actress are making ridiculous accusations and that pipped me off abit. See, I think Samia is alike with Anthony Cotton. I know so many people slate him, but he's good when he does an emotional scene as is Samia. But they seem one-dimentional to me. Writers faults I reckon. Just I never see Samia do much else apart from normal day to day things or looking worried. The actors who play Sarah Louise, Peter, Leanne, Carla (then) and Todd, now personally I think they are amazing actors.

I think you misread my post lindaja!!

What I said was "rdiiculous accusations that she can't act!!"
I don't expect everyone to find her a terrific actress, her style suits me personally as I find she brings her character to life in a realistic way, but accept ofhers may not feel the same!! What I do find ridiculous, and stand by my comment is the statement that she can't act!! There is a huge difference!!

Even before I read who is on whose side, I preferred Sophie to Fiz.

I still don't get why Kate so jumped to Caz's defence as to report Maria to the police?

Also, this spoiler is already on the cards even without them finding Caz's body.

Oh, one other point. Samia was in the Daily Express Saturday magazine. She expressed frustration at how she so trusts everybody, even when other people doubt an individual.

Aw I know, but surely that's part of what we love about her!!

She did become more like it after Candice left I think but it's a character trait she's always had!! Vikram led her a right dance back in the day & ended up taking her on holiday just so he could smuggle drugs back in her luggage as I recall!!

Never got near any shops yesterday or I would have bought an Express just to get the interview!!

Let's just hope that a version of her interview from yesterday will eventually appear online.

Hi Avon! One spoiler of sorts she gave was that she will now be credited as Samia Longchambon!

As regards the storyline, I think I knew most of the details, possibly from Soaplife. However, she confirmed that coming up
Spoiler

A little more I have seen is that
