DVD player help

Hi,

I have recently brought a new tv, I fancied an upgrade! it is a Sony KDL32WD603 32" smart HD LED TV

Says in the description...

It has 2x HDMI ports
Full 1080P HD
200HzMotionflow

Well I am looking for a DVD player to match by better TV, I want a DDVD player which will be compatible and I can watch DVDs with a good quality sound and picture

Money isn't necessarily an issue as I'm happy to pay for quality.

But I don't know anything about DVD players and I would hate to buy the wrong one

So what should I be looking for when looking for a DVD player etc

Any help would be appreciated please.

Buy a matching Sony Bluray player, it will play DVDs as well as Bluray and there will be no compatibility problems with Bravia Sync. They are not expensive.

I agree, get a Sony BD Player rather than a DVD - 'generally' they also give a slightly better picture playing DVD's as well.

As for BRAVIA Sync, I personally find it a real 'pain the bum'

Generally on Sony products though you can at least alter settings to remove some of the effects you don't really need or want.

I'll also be purchasing an HDMI cable also, does it matter which cable I buy or would any Hdmi cable do ?

Thanks in advance

If it is only a metre or so long any will do, I just buy them from a supermarket. You can buy them for less from Amazon or even Poundland if you think the effort is worth the tiny savings. Don't pay more than £10 for cables up to 2m.

Get em from Poundland for - a pound! As long as you don't need one more than a meter long (or might be 1.5m, can't remember).
