Brendan out - Gorka in
Just for this week, hopefully.
He had to go to hospital for this lung infection he's suffering from. Will miss Brendan but won't grumble at seeing Gorka again ![]() Apologies if this has already been posted. |

Same here, it will be good see Gorka again. I think this pairing might work better.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Brendan announced it last night on ITT. The dance will still be Brendan's choreography though.

Brendan is still going to dance with Anastacia on Saturday, as things stand.

Much as I like Gorka, I would have preferred to see Neil step in, as the extra pro.
However, I suspect it may be that TPTB wanted to give Gorka something more to do in his first series, whereas Neil has been associated with the show for a year or two now, and has been more involved that way ( choreo / backing etc ). |

And, I have Anastacia down to go this week ( well I will have when Strictlylicious opens the thread ) so I feel for Gorka, if I am right, having to go through 2 eliminations in such a short time.
( mind you, my guesses are way off this year, so he's probably safe ). |

That might give her a better chance of staying and avoiding the bottom 2 ; people seem to love Gorka.

Yes I would prefer to see Neil if it's a case of "stepping in" - we'd all like him to have a bit of an airing.
Funny, on last week's programme, I looked at Brendan and thought 'that man doesn't look right at all" |

I too thought the young ginger lad would have stepped in. Perhaps the Corka is marginally more suited to Anastasia and or this dance.

Brendan said yesterday he might still dance on Saturday, but I wouldn't. Anastasia will have been used to Gorka (what a chore) and having to adjust to Brendan's ways might throw her. Why not Neil, not sure what his job currently entails, but Gorka will probably have more free time if they expected he'd last longer in the competition and kept his calendar free.

Me too, but given the fact that Anastacia's days are numbered and she'll very likely go this weekend (bar something extraordinary), it wouldn't be fair on Gorka to be eliminated twice in three weeks, what a trauma.
