So what if it was over a month ago , it's this series and perfectly relevant .
The reason the producers made that decision was because they were forced into a corner by Anasta throwing a diva strop and refusing to dance . She knew she could hide among the big numbers but that a head to head would show her incredibly bad routine for the dud that it was . So she refused to dance and forced the producers to scrabble around for an archaic unused 'rule' to cover the situation .
It stank back then and a month later it still stinks . But hey, Anastacia is happy and that's the important thing .👍

And she most certainly does deserve it because that's what the Producers, the Judges and then the public chose.

I think she does. She's been working hard and has made genuine progress. Now whether that is due to having a different partner this week or simply now that she has greater confidence and freedom to move, knowing that she has not done herself any lasting damage as a result of her early injury, I don't know for sure.

I do think though that she is as capable as most of the remaining contestants and whilst I don't believe that she will win, she has earned the right to still be here now.

No , I'll stick with Anasta since I've used it before in posts and it hasn't caused anyone to faint in horror yet .

I really didn't think she would make it to week 6 and there has been some luck and then putting in a decent dance. This week may be her last but I'm delighted she stepped up and can match a few of them in the dance stakes.

Yes, it could well be her last but she's had the chance to show that she CAN dance reasonably well and I'm really glad she's not done herself any damage from her initial injury.

I've still not managed to watch the second half of Saturday's show yet. Anastacia's was the last dance I saw before we went out for dinner that night, so I can't really comment on how she fared compared with the other dancers following her.

I have a large pile of ironing to do tomorrow, so I might just watch the rest of the show on iPlayer as I plough through it. What a rock'n'roll lifestyle I have!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but how do you know that? Given that they'd already had to change the routine because of injury, it being made worse by performing isn't beyond the grounds of possibility (although it does beg the question why she performed at all, when she could have had a week's rest).

I know that there's at least one person on the board who has backstage knowledge. Is that the case with you?

There was someone who claimed that this is what happened but it could just as easily be their own interpretation of it.

In the same way, they could claim to have been backstage to witness it but nobody here has any way of knowing whether they really were there or not.

I agree. As far as I can tell, three audience members spoke to the Mirror and their 'evidence' was the body language between B & A. However, it's possible that Heatherbell was there, backstage that night.

People can say whatever they like, but IMHO it's reasonable to ask what they base their opinion on. Personally, I don't think a few tabloid headlines are a great justification, but as I said, posters don't have to justify themselves to me or anyone else, I'd just prefer things weren't stated as a #FACT.

(As for myself, I disliked Jason Donovan with a passion, based on his being so competitive. Which as my OH pointed out, was somewhat unreasonable given that he was taking part in a competition).
