Yes, it's possible he has depression. It's also possible that he simply got tired of the show. That he fell out with other people on the show. That he suffers from a weak bladder and feared an embarrassing public accident. That he developed an allergy to sequins and man-made fibres.
Until such time as Will states his reason for going (if he ever decides to do such a thing) it seems rather presumptuous to declare him depressed and defend his right not to talk about a condition that we don't actually know he has.”

No, there's been no confirmation of this from Will himself, or anybody else.

I guess it's easier for Will's fans to insist he's suffering from anxiety and/or depression, poor lamb, and therefore must be defended from all the nasty people who just think he's behaved like selfish, petulant bell-end.

You know even in a court of law he has the right to remain silent.

Apparently the court of public opinion wants to remove that.

But remaining silent in a court of law does tend to look pretty incriminating

I am curious as to why he quit so suddenly and dramatically, but if he wants to remain silent and have people assume he's thrown his toys out of the pram because he couldn't hack the work schedule, or Len's comments, or being made to wear hideously unflattering costumes, then so be it - of course he's free to remain silent. And people are free to continue to speculate.

Yes but I don't know why you would want to?

Will has said he is fine and dandy, Craig says he's welcome to come back when it's possible.

Karen has said she loved working with me.

Will has just said its personal.

I suspect the reason is something Will can't talk about because it is private for someone else in his life.

He has said all he can, why bother speculating, it's obviously not a diva fit, something has obviously gone wrong in his life why not wish him well and let him get on with what ever he needs to do to get his life back to some sort of normality.

Speculation seems to me to smack of an intrusion into someone's personal life, of voyerism that I cannot imagine many people would like turned to look towards their own life.

Yes, but can you walk the walk?

Back in the day, Will thought that he would be mysterious about his reasons for leaving the UK's biggest light entertainment show.

Speculation was rife.

Ten days on, his phones have stopped ringing, nobody takes pictures of him putting the bins out and few remember him.

Meanwhile, the juggernaut that is Strictly rolls on.

What a prat.

All the evidence is that the only thing that has gone wrong in his life is Will being a prat. Manufacturing mysterious people he is supposedly protecting.....????? Lord Lucan, maybe or his local waste operative?

Well said. The level of 'defence' put up has reached ludicrous levels. I am quite happy to acknowlege that I do not know the reason for his leaving SCD and I accept that it is unlikely I ever will. I also understand that those of us who think his behaviour has been self-obsessed parc are as likely to be wrong as those insisting that he is entitled at all costs to remain shrouded in mystery.

What I find laughable, however, is some of the reasons put up. Mysterious people whom he is apparently shielding, PTSD, depersonalisation (?), illness in the family, and from Will himself 'negative energy in London.'

If it walks like a duck...... Will has lost the plot and needs real friends to tell it like it is, i.e. get a grip, get help, take a holiday, anything but stop wandering around spouting mumbo jumbo and letting everybody down.

It amazed me too.
The lengths people to which some people will go to manufacture excuses for Will's total lack of consideration for anyone other than himself, whatever his problems.
