iOS 10 causing Apple keyboard issues
Downloaded iOS 10 on iPad Air. The 3rd party keyboard I use (gboard) works fine. However had to enter a password, so it diverted as usual to the Apple keyboard.
It won't hold the numbers page - every time I press a number, it immediately reverts to the letters keyboard. Mega annoying to have to switch back and forward eg when entering a sequence of numbers. It doesn't quit the letters keyboard to go to numbers though. Anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it? Couldn't find any fixes on google search |

I would uninstall then reinstall gboard. There is a setting somewhere to 'trust' the keyboard, which may allow you to use it for passwords.

thanks. I can't find the trust setting. Password entry always diverts to Apple's own keyboard.
I've rebooted the damn iPad and it still happens - say I have to enter a sequence of numbers. I have to toggle between letters and numbers keyboard before each and every number. Machine is out of warranty - I also know if i ask Apple they'll tell me to do another reset..... It only happened after the latest iOS update. Any suggestions for a google search on this? It's hard to describe in a few words! |
