Has that been confirmed? Thought it was speculation and rumour?

Really? Ronnie has been run into the ground and Roxy never took off in the first place. Dead or alive it's the right decision to rid the show of them. I won't regret the loss of Roxy in the slightest. She's a non entity. As for Ronnie, she peaked as a character years ago and has become ridiculous. Best to remember her when she was an asset to the show back in 2007 than the played out mess of a character she is now.

Death is the only way Ronnie should leave the show. She's finished as a character.
I'm indifferent to Roxy. |

I'm indifferent to Roxy. The 'tart with a heart' persona is extremely dated and is nothing more than a soap cliché at this point which is exactly what Roxy is. The actress is mediocre at best too. |

Its obviously happening. The press might get some things wrong but they wouldn't make a mistake on this level.

No confirmation as of yet so I wouldn't say it's obviously happening until we see what happens on screen.

I hope if the story is true there is a twist that Ronnie is still alive. She is more likely to disappear and then come back one day for 'revenge' and keeps a strong Mitchell on the sidelines if they choose to need one at some stage in the future.

Yes waved off in a taxi
Sean O'Connor was Story Producer at EastEnders in the early 2000s and was responsible for the Little Mo and Trevor domestic violence storyline. So I find this idea that he's somehow 'allergic to drama' ridiculous. |

They messed up with Ronnie in this stint by not committing to any direction they started to take her in. That's probably the reason Sam has got so lazy in her acting.

I think one of them die, I hope it's Roxy though. I would rather Ronnie left to on the run with Matthew.

Yes, R&R have not really set the show alight in recent times have they and probably wouldn't be missed as much now than had this decision been made a few years ago. You can see why it's now come to this perhaps.
For me then Ronnie's quintessential peak in the show was in 2008-09 with the Danielle s/line and her edgy/hateful relationship with Archie. Then the character lost her way during the baby swap saga in early 2011 and has been something of a damp squib of late - while her strange 'bumping people off' phase (Carl) that preceded times present was odd. However as much as having her happy is nice, it doesn't suit the character. As for Roxy, very 'so so' as well. She's not really been an asset to the show for a long time now and probably last was during the above mentioned 2008-09 era also when Archie was still on the scene and she and Sean Slater made a good couple. Then her frittering away the £millions s/line that followed Archie's murder was silly, while the going from one bloke to the next continually was wearing thin in the end - while the so called Dean attempted rape s/line of late. was a waste. The time has probably come..... |

I think this will all be a red herring where there presumed dead and there bodies aren't found or we see them alive and they leave together |

Until it happens, I'm still not convinced that it's 100% confirmed. Don't care about Roxy but hopefully Ronnie is kept alive.
If Matthew is left in Walford, I hope SOC brings back Charlie to take his son. The way DTC ruined him was a crying shame. He brought up Matthew for months and the way DTC and crew erased him off the show without a trace was one of the big examples of his steam running out in 2015 as EP. |
