I had not seen a thread for this, thought I'd start one.
A Seat At The Table is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Solange, released on September 30, 2016, by Saint and Columbia Records.
According to Wikipedia: Following the release of her second studio album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams (2008), Knowles began work on her third studio album, during which she suffered a "breakdown" due to the amount of time and emotion she was putting into the recording process. While recording the album Knowles released an EP entitled True (2012) and launched her own record label named Saint Records. Writing for the album began as early as 2008, while the albums recording sessions took part from 2013 to June 2016.
A really good album might I add. Is Solange finally stepping out of her sisters shadow? The pro black theme throughout the album is very endearing considering whats going on in the USA.
Personal highlights: Cranes In The Sky, Don;t Touch My Hair. Don't You Wait, Don;t Wish Me Well
