I think Ashley Thomas will be killed off in tomorrows Emmerdale

I dont know why. But i have this feeling that Ashley will be killed off as tonights episode showed that his Dementia is getting worse and he did say that he does want to end up in a home. Also it would be storyline that has not done before as we have never seen a Dementia sufferer being killed off because of his condition and it would make tomorrows episode so powerful and very emotional for all the viewers

I highly doubt it, but we'll see

Hmm I thought I heard that he would die at Christmas but it could be a red herring

I'm thinking the same thing. I just said on another thread "I'm still wondering if Ashley dies - the way he just lay back holding the teddy bear with that smile on his face".

I thought he was signed to mid 2017.

Doubt it, he is (allegedly) signed until next year - plus this will make a mockery of the Dementia story much like Mike's death in Corrie (and to a similar extent Steph's in HO). We really need to see this played out to the end.

But i dont think i can as it will be heartbreaking to see him get worse and then be put in a home

I don't think he will go in a home, his condition will deteriorate but LAure, Doug et al will care for him at home. He could have palliative care near the end and slip away in his sleep. So long as they don't go down the euthanasia route, as much as I advocate it in those situations, it has been done to death (pardon the pun) in soaps, plus if we get to see the true devastating effects with it could stir up the pro-debate better.

I agree, this makes it obvious he won't die

ArthurJBear is offline Report Post”

The euthanasia thing you mentioned is very interesting..
If u remember at the start of this storyline there was a big fallout between Ashley & Sandy over that exact thing.Ashley was completly against it until he got diagnosed.it seemed to be swept under the carpet then so i did think at the time that would be revisited. It just came back to me there when u mentioned euthanasia so that cud have been a story started so they cud revisit.... although they have already done this kind thing with Aaron&Jackson already.....

This is a great point, I hadn't thought of it like that.
Perhaps one of Ashley's last acts will be to remember Emma stood there, won't that be fantastic?

It was brought up and Ashley was clearly considering it, but decided his faith was stronger and he could never do it.

I hope this means that they won't go against Ashley's wishes and do it.

I think that they may revisit it but there will be Ashley's religious views to cinsider plus I think it would be different to consider it and not go through with it because of the legal issues. I don't think a soap has gone that way before.
