I think there was good case for all three of them to go, all three have been indecisive and weak leaders and messed up on this task but I think Oliver was the right decision given there was only one. Paul or Mukai didn't defend themselves well at all though; Paul didn't do anything and just sulked and Mukai sold a lot of stuff at very low prices. I am quite surprised that Alexsandra is useless as well now as I thought she might be good. What's the retail price? I don't know 😫

I actually thought Paul made for quite a good narrator when Mukai and the girls were completely all over the shop, but it is a shame that he permanently threw his toys out the pram after that and didn't make any effort at all to stop them dead in their tracks and change things up for the sub team.

Oliver for being weak three weeks in a row.

Paul for not wanting to be on the trade team day one "Cos i wanna back you up", then insisting on being on the trade team day two. If I've learned one thing in Apprentice it's that the person that helped make the goodies day one, then moves to the trade team day two becomes the most important sales person on that team because they know the ins and outs of how it was made. Paul did nothing but huff and puff and refuse to do anything of value.

poor Oliver. a nice guy, but way too nice for a competition like this one.

I think that Mukai should have been fired, too, but LS wanted to save the double firing for later.

I see potential for Paul, so I'm holding out for him.

They made the right decision in firing Oliver. They could have taken out Makai too.

I don't know why put Paul is one of my favourites, he's the most realistic person in there. Everyone else has some sort of huge superiority who feels they are owed in life and they suck up to Sugar. To me, yes, Paul is a bit moody when things don't go correctly, but he made the most sense in the task. Plus, that's what a lot of people would be like if something goes wrong. I think I'd react in the same way he does in a lot of things that happen... but that's why I wouldn't ever go on the show.

They were all pretty useless but the main downfall that cost them the task was trying to sell salt and vinegar fudge so got to go with Oliver for choosing that.

Nice guy though he was, I have to agree that Oliver deserved to go - but not for picking the salt and vinegar flavoured fudge. That could have gone either way, as proved by Susan Calman on YF.

It was his indicisiveness that was his Archilles heel.

Based on this and last week's task, I am not convinced at all by Mukai and have, therefore, firmly placed him in the Last Chance Saloon. I admire Paul for his honesty - the whole thing was falling apart before his very eyes and he told it exactly as it was. Yes, he could have stepped in and saved the day but, by that time he had had enough of not being listened to. I also think Paul will have a 'shining moment' in future and may even make the Final Five.

The problem with Paul was that he saw what was going wrong on the trade but did absolutely nothing to intervene. He just watched it like an observer; he may as well have been Karen or Claude, making disparaging comments about poor business acumen and giving judgemental glances. From the start, he basically said he wanted to review the project manager. I don't know why you would do that, you're a member or the team; not a spectator.

Mukai has been a dead man walking for weeks, yet for no reason given he has managed to dodge the firing finger of doom from Lord Sugar.

Oliver was clearly out of his depth, poor guy could barely even speak in the boardroom.

Paul seems to have skills, but the killer quote was admitting he sat back and watched it all fall to pieces. Candidates have been fired for showing signs of sitting back, nevermind admitting it.

Seems Sugar is a bit of a soft touch so far. He lines them up, but then reason kicks in that he's got another ten or so weeks to fill so better keep as many trainwrecks as possible.

Alexandra was just atrocious, all she does is try to defend herself by attacking others.. she had an opportunity to sell but fluffed it and mukai had to step in.

Paul shouldn't have been brought back anyway.
He was the only one on the sub-team who could see that it was going tits up.

The expression on his face said it all!

Oliver wasn't a good leader, bless him, so he did need to be fired.

But I think Paul was a lot of trouble too. He was aggressive and negative and didn't sell. Also, I'm pretty sure he was the one who told Oliver to pick salt and vinegar fudge, saying it was fashionable, despite Oliver saying it had an unpleasant aftertaste. After demanding the salt and vinegar fudge, Paul failed to sell any of them! He should have got in more trouble for that. I think he should have been fired too.

I think Mukai actually did well. He made a mistake by down selling the extra sweets, but at least he had the idea to sell them extra. If he'd sold them at full price it wouldn't have won them the task. Therefore he wasn't responsible for its failure.

I think the trouble with Paul is he seems a straight shooter and can't be doing with all this "business jargon bullsh*t" and can actually see what most of us are saying, that most of these guys/gals couldn't get a job in KFC.

Yeah , usually people are caught out for having a game plan and not contributing so it's not something that is going to do him favours. When he said the opportunity to sell didn't present itself, it was actually ridiculous. He was asked to be sub team leader going to the trade appointment and they had numerous appointments on the second day which he just stood back on as he is forceful enough of a character to put himself forward for a pitch if he wanted to. If he does this again, I really think he should be let go.
