That must have been the worst ever You're Fired. Panel made up of a non/entity from reality tv, Connie Bloody Huq (remember the mess that was Xtra Factor) and a Scottish unfunny comedian who thought she was funny. Plus Tim Nice But Dim and floundering Rhod . I'd like to fire who ever assembled that lot

You say a non entity from reality TV, but his family are in the confectionary/food business and he himself has his own brand of sweets. I actually thought, that out of the three on the panel, he spoke the most sense. But yeah you're right, it wasn't the best You're Fired.

Bring back Dara - Rhod tries (and is a BILLION times better than Jack Dee) but is still not really cutting it for me...

This new presenter is really bland and his joke timing is off, I'd even prefer Jack Dee but really needs Dara back.

I completely disagree, this year's You're Fired is a thousand times better than last year, and Rhod is a decent presenter. He's resurrected the show after Jack Dee and Romesh sucked the life out of it. Last night I watched it for the first time this series and was pleasantly surprised.

I agree it's a lot better than the mess it became last year but the 3 guests yesterday were very amusing

You have no idea. I had the grave GRAVE misfortune of being in the You're Fired studio audience for this episode! If you think the edited version is bad, just consider the full length! I went a few years ago with Dara and it really enjoyed it, and stupidly applied again.

Rod in general was poor, fluffed his lines a few times and kept going to the back (leaving everyone just waiting and twiddling their thumbs).

But most of all, the panel were atrocious! Konnie and Tim were very poor. They were constantly just giggling with each other. Whenever they were asked a question they couldn't even give an answer, and kept asking each other what they thought (!). As if it wasn't a matter of opinion but some kind of collaborative search for the truth. Tim was unbelievable dim, came across like he had no idea what he was talking about the whole night. The answers it showed on the edited version was literally the only one or two times they managed to actually answer something! The Scottish woman was the only one that at least had some opinions.

That food tasting wasted an enormous amount of time as well and was completely pointless. Added nothing to the show - we all know the products taste like garbage. It wasn't even funny, and filming of it took about 40 mins!

Fair enough, I thought they managed to make the final edit good, but I trust your opinion.

I did notice that Tim was trying to flirt with Konnie. I also thought it was stupid when he said he's a firm believer in brand over product - so basically insulting his own real life product!

I also thought it was a stupid statement to make, for any business! Surely product is key! Especially in the confectionary industry.

If a well known brand made a disgusting product, people will switch off the brand as well and it'll have repercussions across all their products. When it comes to sweets people just want good tasting sweets. I don't know the brand of any of the sweets I really like.

Brand over product? Tim is kind-of right but it is not as if these exist independently of each other, especially when you have only one or two products. He was an odd guest -- either gazing at Konnie while she spoke or aping Oliver's speech patterns with their vague, indecisive and often self-contradictory clauses which make it hard for the listener to discern any concrete meaning.

Thanks for the behind the scenes reveal. I once went to see a long gone sit com being recorded - So Haunt Me - at BBC tv Centre and it was very similar. The special effects of items being moved around by a ghost (BBC crew with fishing rods) took hours. After 4 hours audience members started a near riot by demanding they open the doors to go home. Good to see times haven't changed that much

That Tim guy should have worn some clothes, his chest was literally leaping out of his mini shirt.

I don't mind Rhod, much better than Jack but not a patch on Dara. Why does Rhod do that really gravelly voice when he is talking to the camera but talks normally when he talks to the people near him? Very strange.

Rhod is a great improvement compared to the awful Jack Dee and Romesh duo. I miss Dara and even Adrian Chiles though

Great insight, I myself attended two you're fired's in 2013 in the Dara era and in the main really enjoyed it.

Not seen last week's YF but this week's was awful.

Also, I've noticed before that if a fired candidate isn't on YF then conveniently it is often a week where two have gone and they have a "spare" candidate.
Lucky for them that Aleksandra walked otherwise they would have had nothing other than a bit of VT! I laughed at Hugh Dennis' suggestion that Mucai could have been in a hotel room anywhere as there were no windows with a Japan backdrop visible!
i notice they did't ask Aleksandra why she didn't go at the start of the task when Lord Sugar was there rather than wait until the PM meeting.

The title of Worst Ever Youre Fired lasted just the one week!

Last night's was ten times worse than last weeks.

I quite like Rhod Gilbert as host but he's not been helped by the candidates, none of them have brought much to the table so far and the guests have been mainly uninspiring. Never thought I'd miss Romesh!

Couldn't help but notice one of the panelists (not Hugh or Gabby- the other one) looked very sour and unhappy on long shots, only remembering to smile and look interested when she knew the camera would be on her as she had just made a point.
