I like Karen a lot and have twice had the pleasure of speaking with her at Brendan's live shows. But I don't think she has the gravitas to be Head Judge

Personally, I would quite like someone active in professional judging on the panel but I think immediate viewer recognition will be very important to the Beeb for what is one of their headline shows - it wasn't nearly as important when the show started out small. I also think many 'real' adjudicators would struggle to modify their professional judgments to the needs of the production team and to deal authoritatively with the other members of this judging panel.

What the BBC need is someone who knows a bit about dance and is recognisable by the public.

He wouldn't be my choice, but I wouldn't be that surprised if he were the BBC's choice.

At 86, he's a bit too old in my opinion anyway, although he's still active and working.
