I know that they have split and wouldn't want them back together as Peter was mean to Leanne due to his problems as an alcoholic and cheated with Carla but they still had so much chemistry in tonight's episode.

Leanne clearly never got over Peter. Remember her stopping off on the way to her second wedding to Nick to check whether Peter still loved her? She only tried to proceed with the wedding because Carla turned up.

I really hope they don't thread over old ground but it's looking likely. Also, Leanne left Nick because he hit her because of his brain tumour. If she was not prepared to stick around then, why would she now if it occurs again? Nick seems fine with the Steve's baby situation but it is bound to get messy and stress him out...

I loved Peter and Leanne as a couple. They bounced off each other really well both when they were loved up and when they were bickering with each other. The two actors have really great chemistry together as well. I'd really like it if they got back together.

Chris Gascoyne & Jane Danson just work together chemistry wise!! I don't get anything like the chemistry with her & Ben Price!!
I would actually still be happy with a Peter/Leanne/Simon reunion & think some good stories could still be made around Peter trying his damndest to make it work this time despite initial hostility from Simon & nistrust from Leanne!!

Not debbiedingle, I totally agree with you that Chris and Jane had amazing chemistry and were completely believable as a couple and a family with Simon. In the real world, I would completely want them together for all their sakes.

That said, Chris works so well with pretty much anyone (except Tina) likewise Jane with everyone except Kal.

From a soap narrative, Leanne bailed at the first sign of trouble with Nick (okay being hit is pretty serious) but this was his tumour. How will she cope when he gets stressed as this whole messy situation with Steve unfolds?

No, I am confusing myself...who should be with whom? I just don't want another revenge affair between Peter and Leanne and soaps don't do happy endings.

I'd prefer Peter and Leanne as I couple compared to Leanne and Nick. I don't mind any of the three characters but I like the chemistry better between Peter and Leanne.

I think Leanne and Peter do have chemistry, but they're no good for each other. Leanne cant have 2 guys in her life she keeps going back to, it'd be stupid. They probably work better as exes who become really good friends like Sally and Kevin have.

I don't think they will ever work out. And it will just have been stupid to put her back with Nick just for her to run off with Peter again. Do we really need to repeat that nonsense again

She should stay with Nick, even if his brain injury might flare up occasionally. Peter is too unreliable. The only thing he stuck at, other than being at sea, was the bookies. When things don't go his way, he runs off to sea again or hits the bottle.

Threesome with Nick and Peter is her best option.

Exactly this, I do like nick and Leanne together but they never regained the chemistry they had in the 90s when Adam Rickitt portrayed Nick.

Having said that, I would rather Nick and Leanne stay together as I do still think they love each other and they were each other's first loves, they have kept coming back to each which I think is nice continuity by Corrie.

And as much as I adored Peter and Leanne (Collinson has a lot to answer for splitting those two up). There is too much water under the bridge water under the bridge (peter's affair, kal's death etc) and there's no way Leanne would go back there, espeically after the way Peter has treated her over the years. Such a shame really because they were a great couple.

I love them together but currently too many obstacle in the way for them to ever go back.

I have always believed that Peter is Leanne's true love rather than Nick. She might have married Nick first but I think Peter is the only one she ever really loved. She did cheat on Peter with Nick during their marriage but deeply regretted it and when given the choice between the two men she chose to remain with Peter. She only reunited with and re-married Nick when Peter left her for Carla. Even on her wedding day to Nick she paid ex-husband Peter a visit to find out if there was any chance of a reunion between them despite his affair and subsequent relationship with Carla. Nick is the safe bet - the reliable Mr nice guy compared to Peter who is a serial cheater and alcoholic. Logically she should be with Nick but given the choice I reckon she'd go back to Peter in a heartbeat.

Leanne did not leave Nick. Nick ended it because he was worried he'd go off his rocker and hit her again.

I like Leanne. I don't want to see her lumbered with creepy Peter.

I preferred Peter with Carla opposed to Leanne and they had much better chemistry too.

She didn't bail on Nick though.She stayed with him after his brain injury, he ended it because he was afraid he would lash out at her again. She wanted them to stay together. Which makes it even harder to buy them being a couple again now. Only a few months ago he considered not marrying Carla because of his injury, yet he's gone back to Leanne despite it being the reason they split in the first place!
