She killed her ex-husband albeit accidentally but this lead to a massive car crash pile-up which may or may not kill more people. When she is found out, what's going to happen? Will she be as hated as Chrissie was?

I think she would be more hated especially by her boys and Moira. I wonder if Ashley will remember seeing her and if people will believe him?

Yeah, I think she'll be hated when all is revealed. Credit to Gillian Kearney-she plays a great psycho.

I was so hoping that they would have Ashley remember seeing her on the bridge and if I was them I would have Pete, Ross and Finn demanding answers as to what James was doing there, also it should be on hospital records that James was treated for a broken leg so the police should be investigating what James was doing on the road too.

I agree, she has been played superbly by Gillian.

I think that Ashley will continue to stumble over a very vague recollection of her when he sees her and this will cause Emma to become concerned.

Will she be the cause of Ashley's demise?

Will her guilt be too much to bear if or when another cast member dies?

Will clever Finn unravel what happened?

As I said elsewhere, how she could attend hospital with no signs of the significant head injuries she had sustained.......its a nonsense.

It will start coming out. Ashley has already remembered that something hit his car and someone on the bridge.

The boys have questioned why was their dad there when he was according to Emma too unwell to even see them. It's not like it was a small quiet country road I mean are they meant to believe their dad decided he wanted to have a nice walk on a main road!

Ashley will probably remember more but Emma will convince them it's his dementia playing tricks but in the background Finn will start piecing it all together - hopefully by Christmas!

I don't necessarily think her days are numbered on Emmerdale, it's the one soap you have more than a handful of psychos walking about without punishment.

Ashley will remember but it's doubtful people will believe him. BUT she knows Ashley saw her on the bridge so he needs to watch his back1 She will probably make herself his new best friend so that she can control him. I hope she's found out sooner rather than later, I can't bear much more of her.

Is the actress leaving?

Emma has strangely grown over time into one of my favourite characters - purely because of her range: she's the caring helpful nurse, but a mass manipulator, liar, chronicly jealous woman in search of the perfect life - willing to do whatever it takes to achieve.

Part of me wants her to succeed (especially going up Roxie and Velma Dingle) and that just shows how well developed Emma is and how brilliant the actress is.

But this is Emmerdale so it has to come out at some point. It wouldn't surprise me if she confesses all to Ashley who then has another stroke and forget everything. I assume Emma will cling onto her freedom until Christmas then most probably charged with manslaughter.

I only started watching Emmerdale again this week but wish I had come back sooner. Feel like i've missed loads of stuff.

I've loved Emma from the start, there's something about her I find very intriguing and she is an oddly sympathetic character. I love how she changes in a split second from doting mother to dangerous psychopath, Gillian Kearney's portrayal is amazing.

As Robert has gotten away with killing Katie, there is no reason that Emma cannot remain in the show. For me Gillian is one of the best things about ED, and I hope she chooses to stay as she is an amazing actress, and they are lucky to have her imo.

She's done a lovely job getting the farmhouse up together these last few days, a few more decorative throws and a touch up the painteork here and there and I can see her being very happy there for many years.

To be honest I don't see how Emma can be punished for pushing James and causing him to die when Robert is still wandering around happy as a clam after doing exactly the same thing to Katie. If they can allow him to get away with killing someone then by rights, in the interest of fairness, so should anyone else. I do hope someone reminds ED of that before they come up with a 'demise' for Emma.

And James didn't appreciate her.

Good point well made, Collie.

I'd like to see Emma get some help at last. I'd also like to see James and Moira be held to account for what they did to her, but that's probably too much like complexity for Emmerdale.

Exactly, and since no-one else died she should be home free!

Honestly I hope they pin the whole thing on Joe 90. He was suspiciously nearby at the time.

So she gets away with drugging him and holding him prisoner?

Hold him prisoner? No court would believe that anyone wanted to spend time with James that much.

It's horrendous to think that his last week or so was lived in fear for his life, then his last moments were seeing her push him and plunge to to ground, I hope that Finn pieces it all together, perhaps James left some notes in the bedroom? she needs to be punished for this upsetting storyline.

I'd like to see that too Pan but I doubt we will. Emmerdale pick and choose who has to answer to and pay for their actions and who doesn't.

Katie's last week was being tormented and having her home set on fire while her last moments was seeing Robert push her and plunging to the ground yet that's been conveniently forgotten. If he doesn't need to be punished for that, neither does or should Emma. Slippery slope when they start picking and choosing isn't it?

Grr I keep forgetting what Robert did to Katie. Its because I don't usually watch that often. Its funny how certain characters always get excused when they commit crimes but others don't. Its like Ronnie Mitchell fans, they won't hear a word said against her
