With all the hornet's nest that is Jay vs Ore at the moment (whcih the ranting Ailona thread did at least give me a chance to watch Chelsee and Pasha's again) and with several of them appearing in the favourite dances thread I was wondering if now would be a good time to post up examples about jives they love especially perhaps one's that don't get talked about.

A lot of the ones I liked are mentioned are the favs thread but Matt DA's was the one that really made me get behind him as a contestant and the relevant factoid is that this the third time Runaway Baby has been used as jive music and the previous two efforts although no where near Ore's standard weren't too shabby either.

They were Holly and Artem (with her looking great in a zoot suit) and Patrick and Anya

I agree about Matt and Flavia's jive (I think the fact that he occasionally forgot steps overshadowed what a good dancer he was) - it's probably my favourite jive along with Scott and Natalie's. I preferred the feel of those and the partnerships to Jay and Aliona even though that is probably the best in technical terms. I liked the concept of Holly and Artem's jive but she wasn't really a good enough dancer to do it justice - I would like to see something similar with a more talented female contestant.

My favourite jive ever is Natalie and Scotts.

And even though I enjoyed and appreciated both Jays Jive and Ores nothing I have seen since has beaten it. It's still to me the best 'bloke' jive on Strictly, and I wasn't even particularly a Scott fan.

Oh that is good, I hadn't seen it before. Another one to add to my favourites.

The Holy Trinity of Jives for me: Jill, Chelsee, Scott. Nothing touches these three.

My favourite is and will always be Natalie and Michael. It might not be the most technically perfect <inserts tongue in cheek> but for sheer joie de vivre it wins hands down - and Natalie, cackling in a wheelbarrow, swinging a sparkly axe can't be beat . It's my go-to cheer up, and you can't say fairer than that

I have heard 'Jill' mentioned a few times but as it was before I started watching Strictly I don't know who she is or who she danced with. I would be interested to know her surname so I can look for her on You Tube.

Of the one's not mentioned so far: Alesha and Matt's.

It was quite early in the competition (week 2 or 3) and for me it was the moment when I went 'yup, she can win this'.

Jill and Scott are joint top for me with Chelsea a very close second (though green Pasha with those ears always make me smile).
