Yes, definately they said she was at home ( or at least, not in the studio ).

I do hope she recovers. I have read two reports - one says torn ligament, which is not good, the other says swollen ankle, which is something she could recover from in time to train this week.

I hoping and praying it's just a swollen ankle, only because Tess clearly said that Laura will able to dance next week.

To be honest, strenuous dance training for any dance, will take their toll if you have a weakness. Hopefully with some rest, she will be up and about soon, but I can say that I have both sprained an ankle and torn ligaments and these do not clear up overnight. If Laura is able to continue, I certainly would recommend that she thinks about wearing one of those supportive ankle socks on for support whilst training.

I agree. I had a weak ankle as a child ( not now, oddly enough ) and even after a minor sprain, when I thought I had healed ok, I would often get another problem on the back of the first sprain.

Sorry, am not being very encouraging there - hopefully she will wear something supportive to help her for this week's training.

She really has. This is just horrible news and I have an awful feeling she won't be able to dance this week and will have to withdraw. I'm already groaning at the thought of the whinging if she IS well enough to dance so perhaps it's better if she does withdraw

Good morning, Lou I hope she gets to dance this week. You know with the public, they will move on to another drama, very soon. If she is unable to dance and withdraws then I will be sulking for a long time. I was also supporting Lesley, she is older than my mum and danced so well, that really impressed me and I started supporting and now she is gone.

Laura must be really unlucky, having to go through all this extra stupid stuff and then the week she wanted to dance her family's favourite dance, got injured.
I think she would have danced the jive well and scored very high ( 35) and people would have been impressed, not to be, Laura was never going to go out last Saturday, it's a dance she had danced before and she would have been safe. I think people have understand these things, before moaning.

Hi Sarah I will join you in the sulk She seems to be so unlucky given all the rubbish she has had to put up with and now this.

Fingers crossed that it's not as bad as we think and she will be dancing again on Saturday. I guess we will know sooner rather than later? I don't fancy a two person final either ... especially if it's between Danny (yawn) and Ore (boo hoo)

Does that mean a 2 couple final? Wouldn't work with the BBC schedules as they are planned in weeks/months in advance - as it should have been 4 couples. If having the same length programme for the final when only 2, when planning for 4 will look too much stuff needs to be padded in.”

... and suppose the strapping meant that she could not get her shoe on?

Laura is going to physio this morning to get her ankle checked. Let's hope it's good news and she'll be able to dance. I have a feeling she will be okay. I'll be disappointed if she has to pull out. She's my fave

I hope she is cleared to dance. My mission is to find the Voodoo doll.

BIB - Len will make sure Kevin is in the final. Mire likely Danny win't make it to the final. I am still predicting Greg to win.

A two person final wouldn't be fair tbh

Brilliant news, Giovanni will be delighted to have his girl back as well. I really felt sorry for him on Saturday, he looked lost.

I'm not particularly a fan of Laura but I feel so sorry for the woman. First she has to contend with Georgia 'fans' and then some are questioning her right to a bye. She has every right to it and I wish her well.

Thanks for that. That has made my day.

Happy days. I still believe that Laura missed out on dancing her best dance.

Jive is her family's favourite dance and she had done that before. So not as if she was struggling. It's her bad luck she was not able to showcase her best dance to the public.

Sad for her to miss out on that dance then. Hopefully her next dance will go well.

Maybe if Laura does the tour she will be able to do her jive then, like Natalie did.

Happy she is able to dance this week. I do think her jive would have been one of her best dances as she looked good in the bits of training we saw. Brilliant song for it too.

Not only did Laura miss out on what could have been her best dance, the Reet Petite music would have helped to lift the show at the point it was due to be danced. As it was, the show felt a bit dull this weekend.

Has anyone ever done a jive-based American Smooth before?

That is why it really pisses me off when people go on about bye, as if Laura gained by it. She was the loser. Just bad luck, just like all the other negative stuff that follows her.

BIB - Why not?? Good idea. Is she dancing an AS this week?. If she gets through,
barefoot Rumba?.

Laura didn't sign on to the tour ( big mistake) , she is signed on to do a play in Jan.
I think BBC does favour the celebs who are likely to do the tour.
