16 email addresses and 48 votes later and I've done! Hopefully Greg survives this week, although knowing my luck he'll probably be dancing the Samba if he does.

I'll try to save you some time - often trying to talk someone out of voting for someone will lead to them (and others who may be reading and undecided) wanting to vote for them.

Shock boots are solely down to people not voting for who they want to keep. There are a couple of triers that people really want to stay so folks vote accordingly.

I wasn't trying to talk someone out of voting. I was simply criticizing it.

Different ends of the spectrum but both totally entertaining.

Danny because he's beautiful to watch dancing and Ed because he isn't

A "shock boot" happens when two couples are in the DO who are not from the bottom -say- quarter.
The post I commented on was someone querying how Ed and Greg were getting so many votes, and they are from the bottom quarter.
But I think there are plenty of voters for "triers" who genuinely want to keep them in- even at the expense of better dancers- in fact for them, it's not a shock-boot.
I'm not criticising the phenomenon- it's a key part of what a public vote's all about.
