Who will save Belinda`s salon?
Wondering where this storyline could lead. Who will help her save her business?
I feel as though this could be an epic way to bring in Max, as an anonymous investor. Then only for him to spring up and eventually start a relationship with Belinda and ofc seek revenge on the Beales. |

Well, let's face it, there's only a handful of people in the Square who have the dosh to invest heavily in a salon. Most people are skint in the Square. I don't think Max is that wealthy anymore especially due to his stint in prison, but I guess they could easily say Max attains a tidy sum of money from some criminal activity upon his release from prison.
Why not make Ian pay for the business? Belinda could use a prostitute to seduce Ian and blackmail him into paying for the salon. We all know Ian has a weakness for the prossies.

I actually really like the idea of Belinda blackmailing someone to help fund the business. She can show guilt and hesitation but ultimately her desperation will lead her to desperate measures and it will give her character a bit more of an edge. I think it would be a really interesting storyline. I've thought for a while they should go in this direction with Belinda, not making her a bitch or nasty and vindictive but someone who gets herself into these troublesome situations and finds herself often taking the immoral way out leading to even more trouble. There is alot of potential with this character and I hope they don't resort to just making her a slightly comic, slightly ditzy type. Her character needs to be given a more serious tone.

I think Linda still might get involved. Mick might just tell her to do it. Giving her something else to focus on instead of interfering with wedding plans and other general stuff with the Vic

Billy might strike a deal with her to make up the bodies, Honey seems reluctant and it as mentioned for a reason right before this storyline.

I really can't see Max or Ian getting involved with owing a beauty salon. Tanya might if she was to return.
As an aside, would Max be entitled to compensation for being jailed when innocent? I suspect if the Salon survives, it'll have some connection to Neville. Maybe a divorce settlement or Belinda scams him or blackmails him, or even gets back together with him. I'm not convinced we've seen the last of him (and Wikipedia still has him as recurring). The idea about doing-up dead bodies for Billy has some merit too. As much as I like realism in soaps, the one area that I struggle with is money problems. It might be realistic but it can also be a bit close to home for some viewers who want a little bit of escapism and relaxation of an evening. It also tends to be very restrictive in what characters can and can't do, where they go etc (avoiding the pub and cafe, for example) and inevitably leads to something criminal to get out of it (insurance jobs, eh, Alfie?, thieving eh, Jay, embezzlement eh, Steven? etc etc). Soaps are much better when money is barely mentioned and characters just go about their lives fairly normally, even if means implausibly going for lunch in the cafe or Vic every day and drinking in the Vic every evening. If characters can't / don't so this, it quickly restricts their interaction with others around the Square. |

I don't think she'll be returning. Charlie Brooks seems too busy with the acting school she's opened.
