Why? How is that fairer than facing the public vote with the sane outcome of Melvin leaving?

The responses in this thread say a lot about Strictly fans' logic. "Free pass to next round for nothing = fair" but "Having a go, facing the vote, realising that you are not dance fit and then surviving public vote = a crime".

Hypocrisy and double standards are often evident when the fickle public decide who they do or do not like. Anastasia will be criticised for anything and everything, while Judge Rinder's and Ed Balls' errors will be overlooked or forgiven.

It's the nature of what essentially is a popularity contest.

Having just performed her best dance she won't pull the plug now, unless it's pulled for her, and she is having expert advice so can make informed opinions on the new evidence of weakness in the tissue. This of course will hamper her and the public will decide. I didn't expect her to stay into this week but am delighted she has.

I had never heard of Anastacia before this so initially she was a bit of a non-entity for me. But having seen her a couple of times on ITT, I have taken to liking her, she's actually quite funny. Her dance with Gorka was much better than the other stuff but the QS lends itself to the entertainment factor so much more than some other dances. If she can stay with Gorka I hope she can get through a few more weeks.

I appear to be peppering my replies with quotations which I never thought I would use when sitting English Exams years ago,
However "raking over old coals " now seems another appropriate one.
(so all you students learning quadratic algebraic equations they will come in handy sometimes so stick in- not sure about on here though)

I like her too and hope she goes further with Gorka

I like Brendan and hope he is feeling better soon. Watching Anastacia with Gorka last night though, I think they compliment each other better than the Brendan and Anastacia dance partnership. Can't we keep Gorka for a few more weeks allowing Brendan to recuperate, I am just thinking of Brendan here

I think she would have been just as good with Brendan. The dance suited her, and don't forget Brendan choreographed it. It's a real shame Brendan had to miss it and hope he is feeling better for the coming week.

I don't think so. I think the poster is just saying they didn't expect her to make it to this Saturday.

How? Unless she is eliminated she is not going to pull the plug. I don't understand.

Thank you! I think had it been read properly it would have been obvious what I was saying.

How is this a spoiler?? Nothing wrong with this post.

BIB - She had a good night, unless she gets voted out tonight, more likely to continue,
.
I still think she was overmarked. Her upper body posture was wrong.
Craig obviously wants to work with her, so all the overmarking.
