I think we wholly agree that tonight's was the most lacklustre of this series so far...but who came nearest to providing that much-needed bright spark?

For me, the one I enjoyed most was Anastacia. I just love the quickstep and that was a good one. I also quite enjoyed Claudia and Daisy too. Greg was very stiff but I just like him (and his bum haha).

I went for Danny & Oti in the poll but agree that Anastacia and Gorka were great tonight. I feel sad they weren't paired together from the beginning!

Slim pickings tonight!

I voted for Ore & Joanne as I thought they were technically the best, but Anastacia made me smile as she was so improved!

Danny and Oti were the bright spot for me, but I was delighted to see Anastacia and Gorka dance so well. I think Gorka's a keeper.

Definitely a bit lacklustre tonight. It was bound to happen. Perhaps everyone's running scared from the rash of injuries, illnesses and strange goings on, thinking "what's next?" Hopefully, they'll relax and enjoy the fun of preparing for the Halloween Special and be back on form next Saturday.

I dare not vote on the 'best' poll this week though because I want Ore to win this year and I'm pretty sure that makes me biased. Can't trust my judgement when it's not clear cut (as it was for me with their AS and their Jive)

And I was pleasantly surprised with Anastasia/Gorka The Corker.

I find "best" really difficult... Technically? Performance wise? Most entertaining? Most emotionally engaging?

In the end, I chose Anastacia because she surprised me and made a great improvement. I loved the lightness of her Quickstep, even if it was a long way from perfect.

Danced best (at higher level than the others) was Danny.

Not the most riveting performance, but he did as good as job as any male celeb has done (and at least had visible hip action which is so often void with others), and he's technically better than anyone in general, so it's hard to say anyone dances better than him even when he's at his less high level. Ore arguably matches Danny in terms of performance level and applying emotional sensibility to the dance, but Danny in terms of skill is more polished than any of them this year. Ore can still win though, as for a lesser experienced dancer he's good, and some may pref his 'progression' than the presumed non progression from Danny (despite the fact you can never stop learning and progressing as a dancer).

Others were more entertaining, regardless of skill, like Rinder and Balls, but for the dance attempt, coupled with his dance ability, Danny.

I think Ore did really well. Infact he danced the best, however, this forum never reflects anything positive about him. Strange.

Ah go on then... I've watched it a few more times. I was scared of making a purely biased vote in their favour. But I'll vote Jo and Ore.

I know what you mean -I really loved their partnership on the dance floor tonight too, but there's no real way of knowing how much of that was down to Gorka, or the good preparation Brendan has put in over the last 6 weeks and his QS choreography.
But it's probably a little from column A, little from column B.
