Sunday Mail has this story about a possible successor to Len.

Scottish dancer in talks to replace Len Goodman as head judge on Strictly Come Dancing

Quote:
““If I succeed in replacing Len I can give a female point of view and on Strictly there are no other experts on ballroom dancing.”

I think every day a different tabloid says it's a different person being approached. I think the BBC is researching what and who is out there. No decisions made.

I think with Karen Hardy being a judge on the live tour she is in the prime slot.

I am sure they are checking out a lot of people, perhaps they should have tried a different one out as a fifth judge each week?

True. If anyone so much as suggests a name from the danceworld, at least one paper will quote that person being 'in the running' with the beeb, even though the truth is the beeb will probably have never even have heard of said person. But hey ho, any nonsense printed about scd will sell papers.

Says a lot about how well researched and put together it is when they can't even spell names right...

Quote:
“Now Carolyn is determined to reunite with former pupil Giovanni Bernice – partner to Laura *Whitmore, who missed last night’s show due to an ankle injury.”

'I think it's going to happen, but right now I can't say too much'

That won't please the BBC.

They are probably considering their options- of which she is one.

But she seems to think she is the front runner. I imagine if you are trying to arrange a replacement you make them all think they are the front runner. You don't start off by saying 'You're our third choice, if we can't get A or B.'

Hmm..

As the four already like to hear the sound of their own voices, with an additional judge, we wouldn't get the result before midnight!
