I wouldn't expect anyone to, but I do have fond memories still of Sunetra Sarker getting 8s for something truly ropey and basically saying "was it bollocks that good" right to Claudia's face.

I wish I could join in with either liking or disliking Ore. I feel somewhat indifferent to him, as I do with Danny too. I loved his jive but otherwise I'm not bothered. If he wants to cry, so be it. I'm neither moved or irritated.

Danny is not undermarked, 35 for a male rumba is a good score.

He's getting good marks every week, as he should do giving his background and experience.
In comparison to Ore and a few others Danny is undermarked

I usually respect you as a poster but what a load of rubbish, your just being partisan.

He's been over 30 for every dance.

I tell you what is wrong with Danny he is in a comfort zone, its a high comfort zone but he has yet to stretch himself, he probably can do it and it might just take one dance to do so.

I really liked how the judges spoke to Louise last night. That was really direct and specific advice. Yes she is 'good'. Yes she is consistent. And she is 'lyrical'. Good word for it. Did Darcey say that? But she hasn't yet had to show fight or spark.

Probably the same with Danny. He has consistently been as good as he was to start with. He's better than Louise. But where's the fire!? Where's the audience going Whaaaaat!? Where's the instant need to rewatch his dances? Or where is his emotion? So far he is a technician and no doubt the best technical dancer there. But... but... BUT!??

Dancers like Louise and Danny need a fire lighting under them.

I'd much rather the guy who becomes emotional at the limit of his ability even if it offends those who want men to be Men. Temperamentally, I'm on that guy's side every time.

Yes I rewatched his Quickstep a couple of times but nothing else and nothing for Louise at all. I've rewatched more Ed Balls dances then I have of those two.

I have rewatched all of Danny's dances so many times. I think that my favourite of his is the Cha Cha.

I rewatched the QS too, to be honest. But not nearly so many times as I've rewatched Ore shaking imaginary water off his brolly (or Ed managing somehow not to drop Katya )

Wasn't that "The Girl of Ipanema" rumba? I still remember her surprised face "Did we get an eight for THAT?"
Amazing

Same. I think that Danny will have a breakout dance soon - but right now he's kinda coasting in his excellent starting level. Rightly or wrongly, it seems too easy right now and I think it'll take something to really get him to raise his level - either an excellent theme (kinda like what happened with Frankie a few years ago) or maybe a gentle kick up the backside like Louise & Kevin got last night. He's an amazing dancer, I just think he can blow all of them out the water once it clicks for him beyond the technical.

Totally agree.

Unfortunately if Ore getting 39 in week 4 doesn't light a fire under them I can't really see what will.

They both seem perfectly comfortable cemented as top 3 dancers and neither seem to be prepared/able to push anything out of their comfort zones.

Regarding Danny some people havent been wowed by him but I predict if he gets through that his Jive, Charleston, Salsa and Samba should all be very good dances for him and all potential WOW dances.

They both had rumba this week. Not a dance where many dancers catch fire.

Fair point! Let's see what happens, I'm in danger of sleeping through the whole thing at this rate though. I've still not bothered to watch either show just caught the highlights of each dance when doing the stats. If I'm not interested in them outside of their dancing and I find the dancing dull that's a pretty bad sign for my interest.

Yes I said this.

Claudia still has Jive too. Whoever gets theirs in Blackpool week will probably have a great run through to the final.

Yes - I remember it fondly.

A rare event.

Starting to annoy you? what took you so long He annoyed me from week one, he is so corny, his facial expressions are just too contrived and cheesy. I don't bother watching him being interviewed, haven't bothered with his waltz yet

His constant crying is irritating but I still like him and I think he is a stunning dancer.

He annoy's me the same way Peter did last year, all that gushing and comes across smug too me.
Ore is nothing like Peter.

Although maybe he could save the tears for if/when he lifts the Glitterball trophy.

They normally hand out 10s generously in Halloween week so it may be best to be prepared to fast forward if tears annoy you.

I commented on Ore this morning. He is very wet and reminds me of Matt Baker who I used to like but now can't watch him (or listen to his voice - gymnastics). Anyway, I find Ore's personality forced almost. I enjoy his dancing but can not warm to him.

The real dark horse of the competition is Claudia imo - if AJ would just calm down a bit and stop throwing the kitchen sink at her!!
I think you are spot on Collins. Ore is not playing it cool enough. Danny is, but I can imagine those two plus Claudia in the final. The boy's vote will be split while Claudia will probably benefit from finally getting fulsome praise from Craig. People of all ages will want to vote for her and AJ, they bring something new to the show.
